This is the first time I've posted here.  I'm having a problem with my '68 slipping into neutral when I first start going.  The shifter remains in drive, so it's not just a loose shifter.  It will continue to do this until I have driven for several miles.  After that, it I don't have any more problems.  This just recently started.  Any ideas about what the problem could be?

Thanks for the help

Check the fluid level (auto trans) If fluid level ok then your seals may be getting worn or your band adjustment is out. If level is ok you can try to add some transmission additive that helps with slippage. The stuff works it is a fix but trans will one day need a rebuild.
