Stock 2006 18 X 8.5 wheel

Ok little help. Are 255/50's the biggest tires that can safely be mounted on stock 18X8.5's?

doesnt the shelby gt run 235/50r 18? the here at my local dealership does..so i guess those are perfect..

255/45-18 would work too
