Default 2008 3.7L G35 vs 07 Mustang gt

the new infiniti g35 will be 3.7l v6 330 hp 270tq...the old g35 293hp 270tq sucked against the mustang they beat the 99-04 gt by half a car...there might be a new 350z with the same engine....the g35 and 350z were different by weight but were bairly half a car difference...i was wondering can the 07 gt 300hp 317tq go even or beat the new g35..they have power but suck at torque..i had a sedan before and it was good till i got smoked by a 99cobra with an old man drive he left me 3 cars behind in 1st gear....WOW!...i got a 07 gt auto wondering if i should put on the axis gtr 20" rims or make the car faster..the rims will make it look great i mean it will look 10 times how it looks now but also about a car slower....i raced a 350z first day i got my stang 100miles on it overdrive on which had to be off beat him by 1 car i think i did a bad job driving as well...also i got a question..i wanna get an intake but my friends who had g35's say it made there cars slower...they said it was worse from a stop but as u gain speed it then gives power..i wanna gain power not loose.

That was quite possibly the most confusing post I've ever read......... but to answer the few questions that I did make out....... 1) The new G35 Coupe and Mustang GT will pretty much be a driver's race, w/ a slight edge to the G top end. 2) Yes, the new Z, due in 2008 or early '09 will ahve the same engine. 3) Wheels are a matter ofpersonal preference. You just have to decide what's more important to you, looks or performance. Personally, I'd go w/ performance parts. 4) A good, high-quality cold air intake will not make your car slower if properly installed. Your friends w/ the G's prob either bought "cheapos" or didn't install them correctly if their car was slower after the cai. My cai didn't make my car slower, and I have the same engine. It is however, true that cai benefit you much more top-end wise than low-end torque. Most performance parts are one or the other, take your pick......

its ok the next generation mustang might get a 5.4L 450hp engine so its ok if the g35 can take down the mustang for a couple more months.
