ok i got an 03 silver cobra and i got a hookup on window tinting, heres the deal. i was thinkin of goin 5% on the back window then on the side quarter windows i was thinkin of going 5% as well, however on the car door windows i was thinkin of going 25%, he said he can do all this for $160 is that a good price? and also the guy was talking about shaving my windows so that the whole door windows gets tinted, i don't know exactly what he mean and im not sure if i wanna shave my windows, what do you guys think about that?

5% all around besides the front windows with 25% would look dumb. 25% against 5% would look like it's barely even tinted. You should go with 10-15% if your not worried about any laws or don't have any.

hmm i'll consider that, i'll have to talk to him and see what people get pulled over for. so you think i should keep it close like maybe goin 25% all around or something if the law is strict?

just use 20% all the way around. any darker and youll have issues seeing at night.

I got pulled over and the cop light meter'd my front windows and it told him they were 35%. I bought the car with the windows already tinted so I'm not sure but I know the back is much darker than the front. I don't think it looks bad, plus the lighter front windows help with seeing at night.

My friend has 2.5% on in the back of his car and 20% on the front and you cant really even tell its different. 5% and 20% dont have that huge of a difference. I have 35% all around.

i have 5% on mine and its slightly hard to see out of at night :eek:

I really don't think so. I live in PA and here there is not allowed to be any tint on any of your windows which sucks ass. But I've had some d!ck head cops that hang around your car waiting for it to move so they can get you.

I have 5% all the way around, and yes, there is a VERY noticable difference between 20% and 5%. I suggest getting all your wondows tinted the same% it just looks better that way IMO. And yea, I can't see sh^t at night, but thats what headlights are for!

when spring comes, im getting 20% all the way around and a 4 inch strip of 20% on my front windshield. it will look really sweet i think. my cousin had 5% on his truck and it was impossible to see out of at night.

yea i'll probably do the same tint all the way around, i'm still undecided. cuz 5% looks so good in the back, 25% all the way around sounds good too tho.

Stieny's pictures are misleading because you are seeing the inside of his dark interior and not getting a straight shot through his windows.

It appears that you can see everyone in the interior just fine. I'll post a picture of my GT with 15% shortly.

To really see how dark the window tint is you need to be able to have a clear view through both windows, looking down into a tinted window at someones interior makes the tint look much darker, but when you are sitting in a car besides it they can see right in and see right through both windows.


If you want to not be seen by people looking in through your windows, go with 15% or darker.

that looks pretty good also, and i think thats "legal" here, although the real limit i believe is 50%

The picture wasnt taken from that huge of an angle, if you look hard enough you can see other sides window.

I saw a vid awhile back of a KB Cobra (well atleast they said it had a kenny bell on it) racing an F4i and the cobra hung with it but still got beat. I'll see if I can find it. My bike is faster than an F4i so who knows. I'd like to race something decently quick with it tho. I've had a few stupid ricers try to take me but I usally only shift half throttle and beat them by like 10 car lengths. [sm=smiley36.gif]

Yea, thats exactly what my friends said after I let them ride mine and they couldn't get the revs past 8 grand without getting scared. :D (Redlines at 15.5, limiter at 16) Thats what 350 lbs with 125 hp will do for ya. Either way tho, your cobra is still sweeet!

R1's are sweet. All bikes IMO are sweet but I'm a Kawasaki fan for life! :D
