View Full Version : OUCH! - wife scratches our vert...
28HopUp 05-07-2007, 02:08 PM ...with her face! Yup. Last night she missed all 3 garage steps and face-planted into the rear fender of her car. Broke her nose, and left teeth marks down the paint (her teeth are fine thankfully). Only spent 4 hours at the ER! She's doing better today though.
jaded seconds 05-07-2007, 02:09 PM well somone was having an unlucky day, good that she's ok though. your car will be fine in no time as well.
06stangGT 05-07-2007, 02:10 PM Thats horrible! Well at least she is alright for the most part....How many times has she gone up those steps without a problem?? What was the problem this time, just that it was too dark?
LML97GT 05-07-2007, 02:10 PM that sounds pretty damn rough dude... just imagining it is harsh on the mind
28HopUp 05-07-2007, 02:15 PM She just wasn't paying attention. I saw her fall from the other side of the car, and knew she was hurt before I even ran around to her. She reset her nose herself with the icepack while we took my car to the hospital. She's tough!

I'll never be anything!
What's the point of living?!
I might as well die!"

sw07gt 05-07-2007, 02:21 PM Wow that sucks.
PERTANO 05-07-2007, 02:22 PM LET'S SEE THE PIC'S!!!!!!
Glad to hear she's doing okay. Sorry to hear about the fall. My girlfriend fell down the stairs at our house a few months ago. Scary at first, but then she started laughing and it ended up being funny as hell. As long as she walked away then everything else is repairable. Even the nose. :D
06GTGIRL 05-07-2007, 02:24 PM Hope your wife is feeling better!
mlcrycc 05-07-2007, 02:31 PM First and foremost, on the serious side, glad to hear your Wife is OK........
She reset her nose herself with the icepack while we took my car to the hospital. She's tough!
It takes a dedicated Mustang owner to admit that he made his wife self medicate, while tending to his car instead.....:D:D We salute you!!!
Mike
Jurnymn 05-07-2007, 02:35 PM Told you to fix that **** light. Glad she'll be ok.
groundpounder 05-07-2007, 02:57 PM Cripes on a cracker!! How's she doing?
And how's your wife, by the way? :)
SOLDSHORT 05-07-2007, 03:03 PM this is a police alibi isn't it?

wthalliii 05-07-2007, 03:24 PM I hate it when that kind of thing happens. Hope she's doing better.
mAnYsTyLeS 05-07-2007, 03:28 PM Wow...that's bananas. As long as she's OK, that's what matters. The Stanginator can always be fixed in the future.
Brian_Zinchuk 05-07-2007, 05:03 PM Man she sounds like one tough cookie, I need to find me a girl like that. My girlfriend hates my stang, hate going fast, and would probably die if she broke her nose. But I do love her.
Orion_240 05-07-2007, 05:19 PM I've heard of hitting a deer in the head with your car... But your dear hitting the car with her head... that's a new one![:o]
Hope the car and wife heal quickly!
stangdude81 05-07-2007, 05:25 PM the Captain or his buddy Jack didn't have a hand in this did they?

Our son, Jack, saw the whole thing, so I have a witness. Debbie said this afternoon that other things are starting to hurt (muscles & joints). She decided to take tomorrow off from school, which will allow her some time to rest and set up an appointment with an ENT doctor. Her dentist said that she could still have problems with her teeth, depending on how hard the impact was. She's tough, that's for sure. She's definitely a keeper - she recently asked me to make her vert faster, so a tune and C&L are coming soon. Oh yeah, the car should easily buff out.
A_Sixer 05-07-2007, 06:18 PM Wow sorry about your wifeBill. Hopefully she'll fully recover soon, must have been scary as hell.
As for the car .... now is the time to get that cdc bumper and grill......
rmays06 05-08-2007, 12:41 AM Bill I'm glad she is doing better today, that really sucks. Tell her my best wishes are with her and keep her face off the car....lol
Route 99 05-08-2007, 04:56 PM Bill, I hope your wife feels 100% better soon.
bodyputtyless 05-08-2007, 05:08 PM Guess it's really a good thing that you don't keep your collection of "exotic razor blades from around the world" in that very same space. Geesh! If it had been my wife, she'd have a broken nose and I'd have a terrible self inflicted bite mark in my left arm. I would have been biting my arm in order to prevent me from laughing my arse off. Yeah I know its cruel. But thats the way I was made.

guydon 05-08-2007, 05:25 PM Bro that is terrible I hope she is ok....and the wife too. Just kidding best wishes!
StowesStang 05-08-2007, 06:07 PM Gee, that had to hurt like a sum-beech!!!! I hope your wife recovers quickly and with little pain as possible. Glad it wasnt any more serious than it was!!!
droptop6 05-14-2007, 06:39 PM Thank God it wasn't a steel bumper on an old mustang. They say they are making them out of plastic to absorb the impact better that just goes to show you how well these cars are engineered. Good thing shes alright though.
MELLOWYELLOW06 05-14-2007, 06:48 PM Best wishes for a quick recovery to you wife.

SOHCman 05-15-2007, 11:48 AM Ouch!
Nothing worse than the feeling of falling, except hitting something hard on the way down.
Hope she is feeling better now.

28HopUp 05-15-2007, 12:25 PM Thanks for all the well-wishes. Debbie got the biggest laugh from the "deer" comment earlier! I tried to snap a picture of the damage, but it doesn't show up well. The scratch should buff out. The ding is right near the driver's side scoop area ahead of the rear tire. Might just leave it in there as a reminder.

Sorry to hear about the crash your wife had. Hope her grille isn't messed up. Is there any pics of the damage to her face? A broken nose always yields two black eyes. I thinik racoons are cute.
Seriously though. Hope she feels better soon.
BAMFstang 05-15-2007, 09:58 PM Not to sound insensitive but that is some funny stuff. When I read your description I nearly fell out of my chair laughing.
Mainly because of the way you set up the story.
I am glad she wasn't seriously hurt and didn't lose any teeth.
I don't care who ya are, that's funny!
