Default engine turns off

1994-3.8... i turn the key it turns on and thenturns off. i can keep it on so long as give it gas.

Bad TPS (Throttle position sensor perhaps) or Idle Air Control.

Could be the TPS, EGR, IAC or even a vacume leak. For some reason it's getting too much air is what it sounds like.
