I am in the market for another vehicle and i am kinda wanting a mustang to fix up. I found this conv. gt 5 speed the other day and i called about it. the guy says it needs a driver fender, hood, headlights, and one headlight bracket, and air bags. I'm not shure about the bumper cover, but i was planning on putting a body kit on it anyways so that will fix that. I want to know what you guys think of this car and is it worth buying. thanks

Yea, it's a little twisted dude...definitely check it all out real good so you know what you're getting into. But I'm definitely one for seeing older or banged up cars being fixed and back out on the streets, kind of like recycling, good stuff. Good luck man.

$2,500 for that POS?

I can get you an '89 w/ a broken crank for 1,500.... Spend $2k on the motor and BAM!

well I have spent litteraly months staring at wrecked mustangs especially before I bought my stang. That stang does not look good rebuild wise. My car didn't look that bad, but there are so many minor thing to buy, and damage that is unantcipated. keep looking, there are better stangs to rebuild. they may be a bit more expensive, but they will save you in the long run.

DEFINALLY looks like the frame is twisted. U dont need to get your money tied up in that car. Its not worth it. LIke the rest said, buy a older stang and fix it up :)

if the damage to that car was purely cosmetic, the original owner probably woulda fixed it up!

i don't have but about 4500 right now, and i get payed about $100 a week.

I also failed to mention if no one noticed, that the guy that had the car would take off all the damaged pieces and straightening the bent parts for 3200, i would just have to replace the parts(fender, hood, etc..) so that is what made me think that there wasn't any major damage to it. I'm not trying to start a flame here i am just trying to say the parts i left out.

There is no way to tell if there is anything else wrong with the car from those pics. The only way to tell is to get her up on a lift. It could be a total lemon with a lot of damage to it that doesnt just jump out at you. You may have suspension problems with it, but again there is no way to tell other than getting it up on a lift. The damage could be purely cosmetic, and was totalled by the insurance company because of the cost of repair. In MHO I think that if it is all purely cosmetic I would go for it. The thing u have to do is get a neutral party out there who will tell u the truth about everything. If there is any structural or mechanical damage dont bother with it.

i got my 99 stang in prestine condition with 80k miles for $5000 ($5300 incl. tax) hey man save up a little longer and get a 99-04 model if you want newer than 93. 94-98 are low on power, especially on the v6. ford unlocked alot of the power in the computer when the 99-04 came out of the factory. 94= 145hp. 98= 150hp. 99= 190hp. definately save up and you will have something to work with. dont buy something that salvaged for more than 1000 bucks. hell you can get that exact 94 for 500 where i live. the whole front end will be twisted and if he charges to take off old parts, WTF. also you can take that frame to a body shop and they have really high tech equipment to straighten out those bent frames. but if i were you, id wait until something nicer showed up.

So for 3200 plus parts he would fix it? Like the others said, small misc parts can really add up.

I would look around if I were you. My friend bought a 95 GT in good shape for $4500. You have to look around. That place that is in your first post is over priced. I looked at their cars.

that thing isn't worth it, i bet it has frame damage. Your better off saving a little bit more. Don't forget body work is pretty expensive and that thing looks like it needs a lot of it

hey man that stang definately looks like it is in baaad shape, id buy it, put a cardboard body kit on it and sell it to some ricer and tell em the body kit adds downforce and 50 hp, and that the frame is bent to compensate for the torque the car makes :D[8D]

haha that might actually work if they are a true ricer lol
