v-6 mustang vs. v-6 firebird?

i used to own a v-6 5-speed firebird and sold it and got a v-6 5-speed mustang. and i was wishing i still had the firebird so i could race it against the mustang. do u know which one, stock, is faster? hopefully the stang!

the 200hp firebirds/camaros will win the gearing in them make it almost impossible unless the driver is bad or misses a shift you would prolly need 4.10's to take one!

I smoke my sons girlfriends 02 V6 Camaro and not by just a little. There is a road by my house that between stop lights, it's almost a perfect 1/8th mile. We've used that road for timing our cars ever since I was in high school. Anyway I usually pull about two cars on my son in the V6 maro by third gear and about three at the finish line (which is a pedestrian bridge about a hundred feet before the stop light). We use to video tape from the ped bridge, so I will get vid one of these days, but alot of ricers go there now and abuse it so the local cops are watching that stretch of road more these days.

EDIT: One more thing, a Camaro's curb weight is a little over 300LBS. more then a Mustang. [sm=smiley2.gif]

well they don't know how to drive. a 4.10 splitport is a good equal match for a 3800 F-body

neither car should get much on either

my 99 GT vert doesn't even get 2 cars on my W68 1997 3800 firebird

again inexperience is the reason you beat them.

it is a drivers race with a 99+ v6 stang and a 96+ v6 f-body with the odds in the F-body's favor

my 97 W68 is stock except for 3" exhaust including a 3" highflow converter

and it has 3.08 gears. it has never lost to a near stock V6 stang including splitports with 4.10's,CAI,1.8's, and chip with a 5spd

like i said drivers race.

BTW mine is an auto. it has really nice throttle response compared to the ford

OK, let me get this straight. You have a 99 GT Vert, yet your purpose here is with a V6 ....
.....and you refer to yourself as cobra232? What gives? I'm not calling you out, just fill me and the other listeners in.
And to reiterate. My V6 Mustang smokes the sh!t out of the quote "10 hp more"unquote V6 F-body.
