I was wondering if anyone dynoed their stock Saleen whether its the 3V, SC, or E. I have an 06 3V and my brother has an 07 Mustang GT and i wanted to see just how much of the extra 30hp and 20ft/lbs tq went to the wheels. The new GT stock gets 265rwhp and 295rwtq (dynoed on horsepower tv). Thanks guys
How much difference did you feel after you had a tune, intake and injectors done? Did that 24 rwhp gain really wake your car up or was it just barely noticeable? Thanks for the response

Throttle response was much improved and I could feel the 24 rwhp in the sotp dyno. MOST important air/fuel went from OMG!!! I am going to need a new motor soon, to VERY safe. pssst...Saleen tunes SUCK.
btw...did the catted X make a big difference in the sound of your exhaust?

Well i bought the car used about a month and a half ago and the day I bought it I put it up on some ramps to check it all out. I saw the X-pipe and knew it wasn't stock. I've heard one other Saleen before with the stock H-pipe and i have to say that I like the sound of mine 10 times better. I love starting up the car with a cold engine and hearing that deep, raspy, V8 pop. It draws a lot of attention and I could tell it was a good improvement in performance. I raced a new body M3 conv. with borla exhaust and AFE CAI from 40-110mph and smoked him by 6-8 carlengths. The X-Pipe is definitely a good investment for the sound and performance. I'd recommend it!!

1) 20" rims compared to stock 17". 10-15 rwhp difference 2) Saleen Tune sucks! 3) Mustang Dyno compared to Dyno Jet. The 265 rwhp is on a Dyno Jet, a mustang dyno will read lower. 10-15 rwhp

What is usually more accurate, Dyno Jet or Mustang Dyno?
I don't think it would be fair to say what is more accurate. IMO I think the mustang dyno takes in more info to get a more correct dyno read. With that said, the track/street is the only way to really tell.

a mustang dyno puts the car under load so it is actually the HP rating at the tire, if you were driving down the street. a dynojet is freespinning so your HP numbers will be higher

but still......
saleen rates it at 335. he made 250 ... somethings wrong

2006 S281 SC I got to 398.1 RWHP on the Dyno at 5200 RPM.
rated at 400 hp? sounds like some fudged dyno numbers. they must of taken some weight off the car.
im not gonna lie here guys. reading these posts, theres something wrong w/ all your numbers. some are about acurate but 250 N/A when its rated at 335? theres no way.
mustangs have generally a 10% hp loss to the tire in a manual, 15% in an auto. The 20's are probably 5% powerloss. ...... do some math. 15% of 550 is not going to be as large as 15% of 335! 15% of 335 is what, like 47 something. 335 minus 50 is roughly 285. thats what you SHOULD be making.
.....somethings wrong

15% is what Saleen uses for driveline loss. Therefore, 285 for n/a, 370 for SC (2006), 395 for 07 SC, 404 for the 475 kit, 340 PJ, 467 E. I know my dyno numbers for my car are right on with these totals.
