I was driving around Detriot the other night and in a hudge lot there was a fairly nice house, and in the back i saw an older mustang covered in dust and leaves. I pulled over because it looked really different. It said Twister on the side and it was orange and black. I checked the vin and it had a 429 SCJ Engine. Well i knew it had to be sitting at least 10 years so i went to the house. An old lady came out, i asked her if she would sell it, we talked. I can buy it for $12k Right now. Her husband was big at Ford in the 60's. She told me everything it had 4 speed, drag pack, grabber orange, ect. I only read one artical on the Twisters. Is it a good buy. Paint is dirty but still good. No rust from what i could see. She said they just tore down the shed it was in so it has been outside since Feb. 27k Miles on this thing. The shed fell apart and hit the front fender and hood but that was it. Im 17 so thats alot of money but if its worth it i will get it somehow.

From what I read its a Mustang Mach 1 with a Twister Special only sold in 1970. Does that sound about right? Sounds pretty rare to me. Rare = money. but... [sm=ttiwwp.gif]. So get some and people could prob tell you alot more
Ask the old lady if you can clean it up and drive it. Tell her you will pay for the oil change. Then drive that sucker and wipe that grin off your face. 427SCJ, huh? Man, oh man.....
If you dont buy the car please let me know because I am 18 am have been saving up for a long time to find a car like that. If you are unable to afford it or just decide you dont want it let me know
Go buy it right now! You don't come across those very often, my brother has been looking for one for a really long time and hasn't been able to find one.

Like I said, you need to drive it and analyze it before you jump. Hell, that 427 may be blown all to hell and the car is a rust bucket. Sitting in an old delapidated building is not the best recommendation for a storage area for a classic car. Apparently you are the only one interested in it, and the old lady has not advertised it for sale, so don't get all foamy at the mouth and pay her price before you drive it when it is cleaned up and all the fluids are changed.
I read up some more on the Twisters. They had 4 variations on the twister. It either had a 351W or a 428CJ. If the engine is a 429 it might have been put in after the fact. 429s were put in bosses and shelbys I believe.
