My Mods! Not much, but I'm just getting started! Oh and keep the Do's and Don'ts going! I like seeing what other people thought about their mods!

Performance:
ASP 25% UDP
American Muscle CAI
Steeda Tri-Ax
SCT XCal 2 Tuner
9/16" G10 Intake Spacer
Cobra Front and Rear Swaybars

Aesthetics:
Autobadges 3.8 Emblem
IAC Restrictor Gasket
Painted Brake Calipers
Run in with a fence... Doh!

Do's - Well, with my few mods, my Tri-Ax was my favorite so far! Install was easy and quick on my own. It felt really notchy and took some getting used to, but I love ripping through the gears now!

Don'ts - I had heard all the things about don't get an eBay CAI, but I didn't have all that much cash after the shifter I ordered but I stretched it a little and went for the American Muscle CAI... Fitment was rediculous, I had to go out and buy my own hoses and tubes to get it to fit... Would have been only a little more to get a good BBK CAI from Autobadges. Oh, another don't is try and punch the throttle out of a corner when it's rainy... I did some uh... custom body work on mine, haha.

I always think the coming soon things are just people's wish lists, but I actually have these parts ordered and they're going to be installed soon! So... my Coming Soon list:
1x MAC Ceramic coated Longtube Headers
2x Flowmaster Original 40's
2x Magnaflow SS 18" x 4" Tips
1x BBK O2 Extensions
1x Pypes Stainless Steel Exhaust Hangers
1x GT Rear Bumper

And now the "Coming Soon" list
Full Suspension...
4.10s and T-lok (Possible 8.8 swap)
Ported and Polished Heads, Intake, All of it...

Oh, and my Cardomain is http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2643506

Well, I bought the car with the CIS intake...

Just ordered the SCT programer for my car, should have it friday.

Machine my self some under drive pullys

In the future I want to build up a 4.2L + (See if anyone makes a crank and rod set up that can help me reach 5L...)  (that would be so cool, 5L V6...)

Build up the top end Heads/ Intake manfold

A super charger and N2O...

Strengthen the frame/ rest of the drive train

Then MAKE a carbon fiber trunk lid and hood.

Sun roof could be nice too.

Suspention and side pipes (no H pipe)

Paint it blue with white or silver stripe/s and NO body kit/ plastic crap, NO stupid lights... If it doesent make the car faster or handle better, not happening.

All go NO show!

Well, I have my XCalibrator 2 for my 97 basicley stock Mustang.

If you can afford the $400ish for it its GREAT.

Right now I have it on: 91 octane, fuel econmey, 14% more fuel on open throttle? and 30%? shift pressure.

Right now  its on fuel econmey because I do lots of highway driving and everything eltse is for wen I nail it. From a stand still it feels much better then it did at the track when I took it (going again Aug 11, will have slips) the car now pulls like a raped ape when it shifts (love it).

Oh, I left the limiter on and shift points stock as well. I need to see some stock duno charts on a V6 Stang before I play with the shift points.

Ether way I LOVE IT.

next may be a little juice or a built up 4.2L... Pending what vehicle I decide to drive when I move

Regrets

1st and foremost... Purchased Xenon GT rear fascia. When I took it out to the body shop to be painted/installed the dude noticed it was missing holes/housing for the rear side turn signals which are required by law in VA.

Even though California Mustang failed to mention that it was not street legal in some states and the photo on the site was iffy they refused to pay for shipping/packaging (I destroyed the box out of excitement)....... great I have an RMA but for me it would cost close to 200 dolla for the custom box/shipping to the other side of the US. Bumper itself was approx 350 not worth it so plan to sell on ebay or something in hopes someone able to use will buy.

I now have 3 bumpers... stock, unknown aftermarket, and xenon... lol? Thanks cal mustang and xenon.

2. Apparently I don't know my own strength. I busted off one of the studs on the tru-bilet fuel door. Thank god not only are they mailing me a new stud but it is secure enough as is minus half a stud.

3. When I put on my honeycomb tail light panel I lost my grip enough that it is alligned to far to the left.  Once it made contact that was it... not moving. And ofcourse I had forgotten to moisten up the surface first to leave a little more room for error. I spent hours til night fall trying to move it that milimeter up/right (from back) using various tools including back side of my hammer, pliers, etc. Meanwhile as the hours past I got more and more POed and eventually stopped caring whether or not I scratched it or small portions of my trunk... oops..  I even soaked it and it won't budge...

Going to a body shop monday to see if they can loosen it up / sand it all down.

Note: Could probably blame on the lack of sleep for over 48 hours...

4. Long story short. I called Ted Britt Ford, Chantilly and spoke with a sales person whom was recommended to me. Stated I wanted some research and to sleep on it for less than a week. I walked in repeated same thing. Few moments pass and an old friend of mine popped up switching places as the sales person. With my guard gone a sales manager convinced me to walk out with a "today only" (yeah right) special and later finance convinced me get everything but lowjack.

Realized less than a week later that I could've gotten a dumbed down GT for $2K more which would leave me more room to customize. Damn...

Performance:

Flowmaster catback exhaust
MAC cold air intake
C&L 73mm Mass air
ASP underdrive pulley
Diablo SPort Predator tuned
Richmond 3:73 Gears
Dimpled and slotted front rotors
KYB struts & shocks

Appearance:

AutoMeter Gauge cluster
Mach 1 chin spoiler & grill delete
Hood painted black
18" Halibrand Cobra III rims wrapped in Nitto 555r's
Many billet accesories
GT fog lights
Billet gas cap

I would have to say my best idea when modding my car was to paint the hood black. One night my car was vandalized by some punkass kids and i saw it done in the 5.0 mag so i decided to do it and in the end it looks great.

My biggest mistake would have to be my KYB shocks and sturuts because i felt no difference in the ride or handling

2006 V6 Convertible--Tungsten Grey

Mod-
K&N Typhoon CAI
Flowmaster American Thunder
GT grill w/ billet grill and Angel eye fog lights
Silver Star Headlights
Painted the brake calipers red.

do-
K&N, I love the sound.
The Grill with billet

maybe-
Convertilble..ok its nice at first but I find myself not putting the top down as much. Plus the extra work keeping the seals oiled. value of the car drops faster.
Flowmaster..better then stock, but would like it louder.
Silver Star.. better then stock, but low beam needs to be brighter
V6 are nice cars..cheaper then the GT, but I dont know if I would have made the same decision. I dont race(I like to cruise), but the power(Im a Tim Allen at heart).

-Sitting in a box
I have the tail light LEDs(look just like stock, but LED)
Sequential turn light

Sorry if I don't conform to the standard post but basically my entire car is stock.  I am currently in the process of finishing an engine swap though.  I am putting a 3.8l supercoupe in.  All I need is the custom chip and some new hoses and wires and it will be complete.  When it's done I will add it to the post.  Thanks.
