no, you will not need it withthe manual flywheel the shim should be after the flexplate not before it

Default RE: Auto to Manual flywheel shim?

Well, ive got a few. Im using parts/ trans from an89mustang, along with new clutch cables, new clutch, pressure plate, pedals, etc. )Heres tha parts i got to use:

Remeber you have to tear ur interior apart to make it work( or atleast i did, my carpet was already cut pretty far back by PO for a ratchet shifter. I will be putting in new carpet after the whole swap is complete. I took out the steering wheel and fabbed and welded a plate to the inside of the firewall for the pedals, the pedals i got at a swapmeet for 75$( NEW- somewhow) and have the partnumber of a 94 stang on them.

I just put a coat of rustoleum over the plate and the welds so it doesnt rust, and i will bolt it together tomarrow.

There is the trans put in place and i was looking at how i wanted to fab up the crossmember, i will just use the stock crossmember with holes oblonged and then tabs welded to drop it rougly 1.25 inch total. The worst part about the whole swap.... my driveshaft WILL need to be shortedned between 1-1.5 inches! I was hoping i wouldnt have to. Anyone have any reccomendations for a new driveshaft? or how much it will be to shorten my old one? or where i could get it done? -Jon

Is it a stock two piece type? If it is throw it out and have a new one made.
