I went to GLD tonight on a whim and didn't make it there until 8pm. I let the car cool down for 30 minutes and bring her into the staging lanes, a red Honda Civic breaks something in front of me as the lights went green, they had to push him off the lane.
I finally get to stage and run a 12.9 and the second pass was a 12.6, this was on the stock 235 18's that came with the car. I'll have new DR's next week.

I mentioned in your other thread about showing that Civic what an 11 second car looks like, but you only ran a 12.6. Nice runs, but you should be way faster, I mean low 12's to high 11's faster.

I have the stock rubber on it right now, but soon there will be drag radials on this thing, it will be nice to be able to finally launch the car. It was a fun night though. I think 12.6 considering the tires isn't bad.

12.6 is great, but the stock tires are whats killing you. The reason I know you should be faster is because a guy up the street from me has a 2000 GT with a 5spd and a KB 1.7 S/C with an intercooler and he is pushing 400rwhp and he runs 12.1 in the 1/4 mile with BFGoodrich DR's.

Yeah, unfortunately I'm all to aware of what I should be running.

Aslong as your aware, thats all that matters, LOL.
Good times Viking. With a 1.8 60 foot you should be 12.3 or so. That MPH has me a bit puzzled, with that rwhp you should be trapping much higher.
Yep, me too, there was no wind either so it has me wondering if the car is making less with this tune. The car made 438rwhp at 6400rpm, the car needs more gear so 4th is in the boost and not just getting into boost like it does now.
The Vortech starts making boost at about 3500 and I'm hitting 4th gear way to close to the finish line to be making much use of it.
Making 438rwhp doesn't mean the car is making the best use of it for the 1/4 mile.
EDIT: Using horsepower calculators available on the web a car weighing in at 3800lbs with driver and a trap speed of 112.50 the car is putting 422 to the wheels. So, in the end I'm pretty ok with the setup so far and I'll talk to Bob Kurgan tomorrow to get his opinion.
