Thats freaking awsome. I wonder if shelby in vegas would upgrade my gt500 with a supersnake kit or are they another limited ed. But if the price is going to be outrageous, all i would need is an aftermarket hood and some black stirpes, and scoops for the cosmetics. It wouldnt be that hard to get to 600hp from stock.

I was reading about the Super Snake in my current issue of Motor Trend. They said that the pricing hasn't been released yet, but to expect to pay around $10,000. for the upgrade. They also stated that Shelby says the Super Snake will be in ever shorter supply than the GT500KR. The conversions will start this summer.

Did you also notice with the 700 horsepower option there will be NO factory warranty. That kinda sucks big time. Not that i will everbe able to afford it, but damn for that much money you should at least get a warranty. Jason

You have at least 60+ HP untapped in that GT500 as it sits. Just change that blower pulley and tune it a bit ;)

look up king of the road mustang at google!!!! thats a bad ass car!!!! looks ****in sick. and has like 550 hp and almost 600 torque. thats almost double my 06 gt. lol

725hp....wtf are they gonna do for traction? the gt500 already has major traction issues...I think they would warranty it still, it isn't like that 5.4 can't safely handle it.

My brother's Shelby gained 45 to the wheels with a tune alone and everything else was stock. The cars are truly monsters & a tune really wakes them up.

damn first the viper with 600hp then the supposed C6Z06 with 600 hp or more, and now 750? thats crazy!

i read somewhere else that it is only gonna push 600hp and 590 trq. im trying to find the site.

the link says 600hp and 590trq for the base model with option of upgrading to 725hp for a certain price, but you then lose your factory warrenty. which im sure wont have any effect on the consumerdue to the fact thatif they get a regular GT500 but want 725hp out if it, im sure they will lose there factory warrent along the way.

700HP... Pfffff.... I'm waiting for my 4 PSI kit I purchased Friday. I comes with a canned tune and pulleys (idler+pulley). It's supposed to give a 150HP increase. I'm positive with a good tune, we can be over 700 with a pulley swap.

What's your serial? Mine is 0394. Wondering if I have close relatives on the forum!

evo already made almost 800rwhp on the stock blower before nitrous didn't they? the 5.4 is insane dude.

According to ford fleet web site the 12-17 digits are for production seq. num. mine is 271553 which dosent make sense because of the prod. run on the gt500.:eek:

Can anyone blame Ford for not putting a warranty on the drivetrain? Guys are going to be blowing these bad boys up left and right! Ford knows almost everyone who buys this car is going to abuse it to some degree, and with that much HP, things are going to break. It does suck, though.

Time to start my convincing my dad that he needs to consider something other than a new S8[8D]
