About 3 days ago i got 4.10 gears installed and a trac-lok diff.... i dont understand my first gear doesn't seem to give me the "seat of your pants feeling" that everyone talks about. To test this i ran against my friends 2001 v6 camaro (he is always the baseline for my mods) , both of our cars are autos, he usually pulls ahead about a car or two and we stay that way the until third then i start to catch up and sometimes pass him. when I raced him with the 4.10's I didnt launch ahead like everyone said I would and in the end he beat me by two cars.
-Anyone else had this problem?
-The gears have about 100 miles on them, will they break-in and get better?
PLEASE HELP?!?!?!?!?!
P.S. : I know they ARE actually 4.10's so I dont even wann hear about that!

used to be? Im pretty sure stock its nothing.. ive got bald tires and i spin kuz of that. Once you add power youll get the feeling you want im sure. What else have you done so far?
stock i could leave 30 or 35 foot burnout lines... and by lines I mean line.... with new michellin radials but still i think it just may be too much gear or the torque converter is broken.
they now have about 5000 miles and half tred...
