I've only owned my '67 coupe for 1 month. I think the rear end is a little squatty, compared to the front. The first time I drove it, I felt like I was driving uphill. I don't especially want to put a shackle kit on it. And I don't want to lower the front end, as I may be having to go from 14" to 15" rims. What are my other options?
You may need to replace the rear leaf springs if they are original. You could be getting some sagging there. The other option I came up with is drop a 460 in there. That will drop the front down for ya and make it a whole lotta fun to drive.

Yea, 67's are notorious for being low in the rear. You can either:
1. Put a new set of leaf springs with 4 or 5 leafs~1.5" lift.
2. Shackle kit
3. Air shocks
4. Lower the front to match the rear
I have air shocks on my 67. I had to flip the shocks upside down to be able to fit. By far the best upgrade would be to add the new leaf springs...go ahead and upgrade the bushings too.
They were all like that..I think Ford was going for the drag racer look back then as a lot of the racers thought raising the front of the car aided weight transfer....they were wrong.
P.S.
If you do replace the springs, call Flex-a-Form in Anderson, SC for a price on some fiberglass leafs. Or you could put the 4-link from Chris Alston or a Heidts in the car.

1. Don't get the lifts unless you want a rake look.
2.Um, no
3. No
4. You never fixed the problem, you still have worn out suspension in the back.
Just buy a new rear suspension kit or some replacement springs(depending on budget), factory height, and it should level the car out better.
I don't think it is a worn out suspension as baddog says. That is just the way most 67's came. If you want to spend anywhere from 2-4K, then get the four link or fancy upgrade like that, but if you are not racing then I see no need. Anyways, I don't think you get the raked look with the leaf springs, I think it just levels it out. Oh, I have adjustable shackles on my 67. They came stock so if it is too high then drop down a notch.
Theyre not all adjustable. And if you did lower the front, provided the rear sus is good, 15 in rims will fit easy.my car has 17s with 225 and is lowered 2.5 inches.
