Bougus 5% discount for MFers. I jsut tried to get the 5% discount from tire rack on tires i ordered & it wont let me enter "mustang forums" in coupon area. Called tire rack & she said it only for special clubs that you must be a member of. This is bull chit. If thats what it is than advertise as such, not like its for mustang forum memebers. bah humbug.

Take down the announcement as it reads!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

In the "sticky" section at the top of the forum it says this:

It does look like people who enter "Mustang Forums" in the coupon code section are supposed to get a discount. But it sound slike he was denied for some reason. The post I quoted above was dated 4/10/07.

Ok here is how it has gone so far, lol. I ordered a set of 4, 245/45ZR-17 Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3 over the phone this afternoon. Then after dinner I was forum trolling & saw the ad for 5% discount. Soooooo, I call Tire Rack back & ask for the discount. She says "Ya, I seem to remember hearing that" & puts me on hold. When she comes back she says " thats for members of certain clubs" & named them off, about 4 different 1's. I explained to her about the online coupon & the instructions to enter "mustang forums" in the coupon code, WITH NO MENTION OF THESE CLUBS. She says she cant do it. SoI tell to cancel the order, she does so & tells me its cancelled. I then re-order online & am unable to successfully enter any coupon code fOr my $38 /5% discount advertised.
Now just a few mins ago I get an e-mail telling me that the ORIGINAL PHONE order that was CANCELLED, HAS BEEN SHIPPED, lol. The 2nd order is being processed for shipping. If I end up w/ 8 tires, im only paying for 4, hahahaha.

its not misleading at all.. you simply screwed up...

the discount is for the PERFORMANCE DRIVEN site.... that sticky is a FORUM WIDE sticky... which means... orderes on performance driven get a 5% discount if you enter the "mustang forums" coupon code.... it has absolutely nothing to do with tire rack

BS, the Forum description is still there, "WHEELS & TIRES BROUGHT TO YOU BY TIRE RACK". & that would bring you to the coupon page. They have changed that 2nd page now & dosnt bring you directly to the coupon, but it did. I didnt screw up, i was misled by the ad.
PERFORMANCEDRIVIN dosnt even offer tires. Got that car running yet Adder?

I dont think you seem to understand... that sticky is in EVERY SECTION on this forum... not just here.

and NO, my car is not back together yet. its been almost a month and im having RWD withdrawl. My heads are due to come in any day now. Once I start my new job i'll be getting a nice 20% discount on parts so i'll be buying all my gaskets and such.. along with my new oil pump. I have a tenative run date of june 1st. That of course is including getting my rear end rebuilt/swapped to 3.73's and 31 spline axles, rebuilding my trans and fully completeling my h/c/i swap.
