exactly what Hoosier "Road Racing" tires are you using and why? what sort of driving are you doing.

if you want calipers, there is no need to buy those Baer kits, which include relocation brackets to use your factory ones. if you want to upgrade your calipers you would be better advised to get a complete kit from Stoptech or Brembo. Baer's kit's include 2 piston calipers that arent much better than stock.

I believe those Hawk part numbers are for the blue/black pads. those are way too much for a street car. they will tear your rotors up in no time. stick with HPS or HP Plus. be forewarned the HP Plus pads are VERY squeaky until they get to operating temp, which you arent likely to do on the street.

if you are just wanting an upgrade from stock, get good pads, good fluid, and stainless lines. beyond that save up about $1600-$2k for a big brake kit.

I install Baer kits front and rear with good results. The front pads in the Baer calipers are from a C6, it does make a diference.

+1 for the HP Plus pads, spray thebacks of them with some brake quite and it will help with the noise.

Default RE: Would this rotor/pads/calipers work?

RodeoFlyer is dead on for the main question you need to address: why and for what type of driving? From the answer to that, all things flow. I went with HPS pad on stock calipers/rotors after my first open track event with the car completely stock. The OEM pads are woefully inadequate to the task of a high speed driving event, and after running the HPS pads in the same venue, they too are inadequate to that task. On the street, however, they're fine. If you're looking for a true dual-purpose pad that you can drive to the track and drive home on, then I think the HP+ pads are your best bet from Hawk.

I'm now planning on running Hawk's "Blue" pads at the track with dedicated rotors (a spare OEM set). May 5th kicks off the first event of the summer!! I want to see how far the stock brake system can get me with only a pad swap (although, I did get stainless lines put in). I'm using a different set of rotors because, as RF said, the Blue pads will eat up a rotor more quickly, but also because they need to go through a thorough bedding-in process and it's easier to do that ahead of time and then swap out the rotors and pads as a set at the track.

You also want to be aware that the HP+ pads have an optimal operating temp of 100-900 degrees F, and still they take some time to warm up on the street. The Blue pads don't get really going until 250 degrees, so they are really inappropriate for the street as you just don't get that hot until you're well into your braking (at which time, it may be too late). The moral of the story: "race" pads (and equipment in general for that matter) really are for a race environment, and no matter what kind of studly driving you think you do on the street, that's still the street. Even my HPS pads on the street don't really bite to their full potential until after warming up just a tad, so there's no way I would want to run the Black or Blue pads in traffic.

Best,
-j

Just an FYI a 14" rotor will not fit the stock 17 inch rims. Must be 18's or bigger and you still need to check for fitment issues.
