So ive been cruising woodward for the past few days and i see all of these cars meeting up in groups. BUT NO MUSTANG ONES soo i think we detroit area people should set one up sometime soon. what chya think? if anyone is interested lets make a place, time, and date to do it.

of course i am in. I don't think the birmingham area of woodward is a good idea though because there are lots of cops there and it is a very busy area. If people end up racing which i garuntee will happen, it is pretty damn dangerous where you see all those evo's and stuff. I think further down toward 15/16 mile may be better, but of course this is open for discussion. the place where most of those guys go though is infested with cops and lots of people just driving which i think is a bad idea. we should definately setup a thing tho. btw all of you should come to mustang alley this year, last year it was real tight.

edit: we should get some of the big dogs in on this, i'll pm scrming and there are a few other forced induction guys running around our area ill try to get ahold of. and now that i think about it even though that area is bad for any racing, it might be fun to roll through downtown birmingham with like 15 loud ass stangs LOL. i've seen 4-5 cobras do that before...of course they are a ****load louder, but hey, itd be fun stuff. Cameron we could roll down woodward tomorrow after school if you have time and find a spot or sometime this week.

yeah man for sure. lets do it. i was actually thinking of closer to 9 mile. and as far as time goes, end of school which is like june 5th. im moving halfway through the summer so sometime in june would be clutch.

i might be able to go tomorrow after school...not sure yet though, ill talk to you about it tomorrow cameron. We could definately get something fun going and get some good pictures and what not. What also might be REALLY cool is if we made a trip to the track or something. All cruise up to milan or lapeer or something after a nice little meet. Just an idea...

update everyone. Me and 8cd03gro went out on woodward today looking for a spot to have this meeting. and we found a perfect parking lot right off lincoln and woodward. its on lincoln between adams and eton. We talked to the school that it is apart of and they said they will get back to us on it asap. Were thinking of doing this whole thing on May 12th. it is suppose to be supernice weather and would be a great time to meet up. The spot is not for sure yet but odds are it will come through. Let me know all of your opinions. If this day isnt good for you let me know what would be best for everyone and well work something out. Im moving in June so may would be the best. ill keep everyone updated as i find out more info.

Plus, if this works out well, we could always do it again somewhere else and whatever. It'll be nice to actually "know" some people on here that are fairly local. Good way to get track days going and all. We will keep you guys updated:)

I am up for that, I am up on woodward all the time. I have a buddy that owns Freeplay coin-op on Woodward and Normandy next to U coat it garage. There's not alot of parking but there is a lot next to them that we could meet at. I will be out there on saturday night. PM me if you guys want to meet out there on saturday.

well here is what im thinking and i dont mean to speak for cameron and myself, but i think he will probably agree. I would like to get as many 4.0's as possible first. If we are gonna get a ton, we need a big ass parking lot. If we aren't getting a ton, the lots we have already found will work totally fine. I would like to see how many 4.0's we can get first before we start inviting other parts of the forum. Alright well we went to find a good lot for a meet and we found a pretty good setup for about 18 cars. Right on woodward at "the donut cutter" between 11 and 12 mile. it's got a pretty interesting setup with the parking spaces that would work really nicely for a little meet and since it's right on woodward we could do a little cruising and whatever. There are another 6 spots that are also right there if we need more room, but although they are right next to the other spots, they belong to another property so i would have to talk to them and make sure it's ok I talked to the guy that was closing up the donut cutter yesterday and asked if there was anyone i should contact to talk about it and he said not even to worry about it that the owner really wouldn't care. I'm going to go back again and make sure another time when they are open because i really don't want anything to happen that would stop the meet short, but right now we for sure have 18 spots. The address is 28173 Woodward Ave Berkley, MI 48072.

Please don't cancel any of your plans for the 26th just yet, as i would like to talk to the owner/manager before we really make it final, and i can't do it right now because they are only open in the morning on sundays. This is pretty much the definate setting and date, but if you have something else that you would be doing dont cancel just yet, we will be 100% sure by tomorrow night whether this is where it is going to be, and we can work on a time that suits everyone. Please edit your name onto this list if you can already definately come (you have nothing going on) on the 26th, around, say 7:30. I think that would be a good time, maybe 8 because then we would still have a good 45 minutes of daylight to look at everyones cars and everything, then go cruising and do whatever. Time is still totally up for discussion, just give recomendations here and we will talk about it. I need to know how many are definately coming as of now though, to make sure we will have some extra spaces in case some decide later on that they want to come. We want everyone to be able to come.

That sucks thats Memorial day weekend i have a family thing up north at Higgans Lake. I won't be able to make it. Ron anytime you want to hook up. I am alway's on woodward, used to be Telegraph but i live to far from there now. Were gonna have to do this more than once so we can meet eveybody.

Sounds like a blast. I am also heading out to Jackson that weekend for family Graduation thing. It looks like I will be busy with my Moron employees the next few weekends too ( stripping floors ). I will watch for another Detroit area meeting we are in the Howell / Brighton area & would like to meet other mustang owners.

ok as of now there are only a small amount of us. we have quite a few more spots, so if you guys wanna invite some gt people that's totally fine with me and i think it is fine with cameron (dw). Just make sure they aren't the 6 hating gt owners. doesn't have to be s197 either. I would like as many 4.0's as possible, and if we get too many, no offense to anyone, but 4.0's are top priority. We can always get a bigger lot though if need be, so invite your friends if you want, just make sure to update the list if you are gonna invite someone else so that i and cameron know how many people to make room for. I will take this to the other sections of the forum if we don't fill up the list or get close by say, saturday.

btw, i hope all of you are registering for mustang alley this year, it was great fun last year even though it rained.

Hey fella's JIMC just told me a few of the guys are going to Lapeer drag way (http://www.lapeerdragway.com/) on 5/12/07 for a test and tune. Its a great time there. Cost is only like $25 I thnk and you can run all day for that.

Pix in signature, get a web hosting picture account like photobucket.com (http://s119.photobucket.com) and put the picture you want to host in a http://i119.photobucket.com/albums/o146/rmason92/MYCAR.jpg like that. You will then be able to see it every time you post a reply. You have to do it in your profile and save it too.

Passed by the Donut Cutter place this past weekend ... is that still the meeting place DW? Just checking. It looked like plenty of room.

Yea that is still the meeting place. It has plenty of room for what we need right now, and i think it is a pretty cool setup with the parking spaces. We could fit more in that lot for sure, but we want to limit it to 18 right now because we don't want some asshole cop to come ticket people because they are not parked in a space or something. If it gets up any higher than that lot can hold, we will find somewhere else, so tell your friends if you'd like. Once we get to 18, we will stop the list until i can find somewhere else if that happens...i don't want to get too many people then have to tell people they can't come anymore right before it happens after they already cancelled plans and everything. So as of now it is still at the donut cutter, which we think is a pretty great spot. I am going to call this weekend again and make absolutely sure that this is ok, and I will discuss a time an everything with whoever is in charge of this, so there is no chance of problems. I already talked to someone that said it would be fine, but i do not think they were the owner, and i don't want to take any chances. I will update you guys as soon as we have finalized the time and all, but for now we can just keep the list goin. Anyone have a preference on times?

p.s. Lapeer is less than an hour away from the donut cutter if some of you guys wanted to hit up the track after or something? we'd have to see what is going on there that day, but just a thought.

I'm still having a hard time getting ahold of the person that runs the grounds of this place, so it isn't absolutely for sure that we can use it, but one of the people that works there said the owner wouldn't care, and i don't even know if it's really necessary to get permission as nobody will be parking there anyway because the place closes at 3pm. I am going to continue to try to get ahold of the right guy, but as of now it is offficially there, and we will meet up around 7pm unless you guys want otherwise.

Don't forget that if that falls through, you can always meet at the plaza on 13 and Woodward; that's one of the prime Dream Cruise week meeting spots because it's such a large parking lot.

we should be fine with the spot we have. its gonna happen for sure.

The reason i say we should be fine even if we can't talk to the guy ( which we are still trying to do mind you) is if you have ever driven down that area at night, you see TONS of cars parked in private lots on the side of woodward with no problems. The cops just let em be if they aren't doing anything "bad"

I don't know who else has a GT but I do and I plan on being there. There are a lot of V6 guys that'll be there that I know and are great guys and not anti-GT.

Alternative Auto in Mt. Clemens had a dyno day last Saturday (May 26), that may be the one you are thinking of. I haven't heard of any other dyno days anyway.

ok so i just checked the weather for saturday in Berkley ( the donut cutter) 30% chance of a t-storm in the morning but at night it is suppose to be overcast with a 20% chance of rain. These are pretty good odds! so if it does rain a bit in the morning no big deal. we have till 7 30 for it to dry up which im sure it will. plus its only a 30% chance. see you all saturday!

Well guys I am definately not going to be there. My car is still in the shop having the SHR louvers installed. This has got to be the worst experience I've ever had with any car. Whether they make it right or not will determine how I report this to everyone. I've been lied to, missled, ignored, disrespected, and generally been treated like crap. But all the while with a big smile and BS car guy conversation and a pat on the back. I'm hoping for the best but not expecting much.

It was great meeting up with everyone -- and the yelled compliments from cars on Woodward as well as the couple with the GT500 who said they had to stop because they had never seen so many S197 Mustangs gathered at one time.

i wish i could go to the meeting on the 12th!!!! but my buddy got me a ticket to a band that ive been wanting to see for a while and i would feel really bad if i didnt go. but i think we should set up another meet for the 23rd. what ya guys think?

LOL, Good one there Joe! You guys really need to all come to the "Mustang Day at Midway" It is at a driving range,batting cage, etc. place, The club is putting on July 14th from 12-5! Only Mustangs wil be allowed, DJ & everything! Located in Dearborn Hgts. Van Born Rd. between Southfield & Telegraph. Should be a great time with at least 40-50 stangs present.
