Hey guys,

Well I have been in the market for another tune for my handheld.

I have an order in with Brent so I am still waiting for his call back and tune.

In the mean time, Clubsfit turned me on to VMP Tuning and told me how he ranks that tune vs the others he has had.

I called up Justin, he talked with me, nice guy, good info, and sent me the tune within a day, SWEET!

Well, I installed the tune and all I can say is that it is much better than my current tuner.  It got rid of all my problems that I had mentioned about the jump in power/VTEC like feel after going WOT/throttle response etc. etc.

What I like about this tune is that how good it is below 3K rpm.  It pulls very nicely from down low!!  Throttle response is amazing.  It even seems like it revs faster but I don't think that is possible just from the tune.  Top end it screams.  It kinda feels like the closer you get to WOT the less gradation in power delivery but its not like 3/4 throttle is the same as WOT so that's cool.  I freakin' had to learn how to drive it all over again as it pulls so much better down low and I was peeling out everywhere.

What was cool about Justin is that I said what I wanted and he did it, he set the rev limiter where I wanted it, the idle down to 600 rpm (much better than 800), etc etc.

Granted since I don't have it on a dyno I cant tell if it makes more or less power than my other tunes but the drivability and throttle response doesn't make me care really, its just that much better!

So my opinion of the tuners I have had are:
VMP >>C&M>>>Evolution

I am still waiting for Brent's tune and I hope it is just as good.  When I get the time later in the year I will put the car back on the dyno and compare all three.

Time to go burn through the Pirellis!

I had my car custom tuned at Justin's shop and I tell you what...watching this guy in person is awesome...he really takes his time to do it right and gets the most out of your car while maintaining safety. He also has great follow up...he sent me an email just to ask how I liked the tune etc...not only did my performance get dramatically better...my gas mileage...almost doubled....VMP rules..

This is sounds about like what Dougs torq tune is like.  Very nice down low.  It pulls very hard starting around 3k is 3rd.  I have heard that Justin in amazing.

Glad you like Justin's tune, It is definately most like B ama's tq tune, and that is for sure my 2nd favorite. Brent also rocks, and is super nice, but the tune is not quite as responsive down low, and thats where I need it.

Thanks again Clubsfit,

The down low grunt is great and the power delivery is linear with no jitters and no sudden hit at 3200rpm like before.

I am amazed how fast he got me the tune, I ordered it online, sent him an email with some questions and additional info, asked him to call me.  Got his call in the very early AM and talked for a bit.  Told me if there was any issues to call him and to follow up so he knew everything went fine.  Nice customer service.

My old Evolution tune and my tunes from C&M had throttle response that was way better than stock and this one is about twice as good, simply amazing!

I must say that everyone I have delt with, from Fred, Marv, and Justin, they have all been top notch and answered everyone of my 100's of Qs.  It just seems that my car likes the VMP tune the best.  I'm not trying to change anyones mind if they have another tuner because there are plenty of people who switched and then switched back because their car didn't react the same.

Well, here's the thing.  That statement could be true, except the comptuer has the ability to learn part throttle fueling, so that's not why he picked up mileage.

I look at the entire tune and make some changes that will improve fuel mileage.  I've spent a lot of time learning about it on my own gas powered vehicles. I was able to make my old 4.6L F150 go from 9 MPG while towing to 12-13MPG while towing.  My wife's blown 395RWHP 06 Mustang 4.0 will get 24mpg on highway trips.
