Not yet, but if I do I want it to be a working hood scoop and not just an ornament.

Functional or Ornament.... it sucks!
One sucks air while the the other...well, just plain sucks!

All that really matters is what's under that "scoop that sucks"  I have an Xcharger under mine

Roush Scoop

I like the agressiveness of the scoop, functional or not.

do they really work? are their noticeable gains from a functional one?

I would think since our cars have cast iron blocks, a functional hood scoop would be a great thing. It would help cool down the engine and help it perform much better.
You tech guys can elaborate more on this than I.

I know there is one functional scoop out there that ties into to engine air intake. Don't recall exactly what site it was. Saw it checking out a link from this forum last week.
What I'm waiting for is a funtional scoop/blower package to come out.

It's a safe bet, when you get forced induction, to have a functional scoop. Simply just to cool the engine bay a little so the paint on your hood doesn't bubble up.
