densecharger (might have been BBK), P&P upper and lower intake and TB (done himself) 75shot NX kit, Bassani X-pipe, GT take-off exhaust, 3.73 gears (installed by him), T-lok (same), short shifter, and a few other cosmetic mods... but I believe that was the jist of it. BTW, did I mention I'm a member of a V6 Mustang club, so I happen to know alot about them in general?

the 100 pounds weight difference you spoke of is thanks to the extra creature comforts added to the g-35.. and yes there are base models that are lighter but not enough to really effect an ET. you should have beat him with a 99+ gt... however, watch out, in the years to come there will be a spyder 350z available, were talkin convert. twin turbo systems, so dont go around high and mighty, i drive a GT, but give credit where credit is due. P.S. - probably didnt have headers they all sound like sh*t stock.

youre right about the Z catching up, the ricers are geared for top end road racing, they are top end cars.... no out of the box torque..... GT's are bottom end torque, the torque curve on a GT way outshadows the horsepower, hence the off the line performance of a mustang..... in the same respect youll kill a camaro off the line because its not bottom end and it wont hook up like a mustang, but on the highway, hes got your daddy... top end LS1

oh just a little tip for the drivers of 96-98 4.6's, i also have one, a 97 gt, do yourself a huge favor and swap out the crappy heads as first priority.. get the heads and valve train off of a 99 cobra... have it port matched, some cases a gain of 50+ hp, plus increases the percentage of increase for all other mods later. might want to go to a 180 or a little less on the thermostat though, it generates more heat, and the aluminum heads are more delicate than the stock, NO REDLINING IF ITS RUNNING ANYWHERE CLOSE TO HOT..... it leads to warped heads.
The 100lb weight difference is between the base model Z and the top model actually I believe... and there already is a Convertible Z. And I don't think they're ever gonna do a factory TT version.
I dont know about beating one by that much. You might have pulled on it a little but i dont think much. there quick as sh!t, for what they are.
For $30k and 13.8...
How about 18k for a 15k mile LS1 and 12's on radials...THAT is quick as s**t for what they are heh.
Just stating what happened. I beat him, and I wasn't sweating to do so either! They don't bite with huge torquey launches like I can, they are for curves, someone help me here. Hey, a camaro IS a nice car, but I have been a Ford guy all my life, and nothing will change that.
Dan, that sounds right on the money. Down low, we got them. Up high, they got us. But I would much rather have it down low, then you know you can get em' in a 1/4.
Down Low doesn't necessarily mean a 1/4 mile victory. You car is only in the low-end for 2s or so out of say, a 14s 1/4 mile run. An LT1 Corvette has better low-end than an LS1, but an LS1 will absolutely stomp it in a 1/4 mile race. An SN95 GT has better low-end torque than my car, but is about even in the 1/4.

Hey you coming to the Shootout in Darlington in November? I'll line up with you if I get the thing to shift right. We should see this weekend! Oh and if you know Mustang Scotty He might have my slicks on, will 15 inch wheels fit over 03 rear brakes? We havent looked to see yet.
Right, it doesn't guarantee a victory being better down low, but in articles comparing the z and the gt, the gt gets the z by a tenth in the 1/4. So, it does mean a victory in this comparison.
