awesome write up, is this the same procedure for an 03 GT convertible or is the 05+ cars completely different. I was gonna order a set of springs but was worried about alignment issues. I'd hate to have to buy camber/caster plates and pay for alignment etc on top of the cost of the springs.

I'm betting the S197's have a different set-up than the SN95's.
To be sure, you may want to post your question here.

You'll need to replace the missing bearings. Not sure if you can buy just the bearings or will have to get the whole bearing cap assembly. Also, make sure they're greased.
your're writeups are great.i'm surprised you don't have braided brake lines yet.i put them on and really helped with the wandering front end when you brake more than a few times.

Taco Bill, Thanks for the great write-up. I installed my rear springs this morning using your instructions. Very easy install and very helpful with your step by step color photos. Bret

Bill, You is da man fo sho! There is no one else that is as thorough as you when it comes to these tutorials that you do. I am absolutely convinced that you never drive your car. Based on all of these pictures you post, that car belongs in a museum! The underside is cleaner than most operating rooms! Great job once again!
I glad to hear the a new adjustable Panhard bar is not really needed. There are so many writeups that say you should get one, but they never really come out and say when - how much lower when one is required. I am planning on putting the below when my '08 GT Vert comes in. Steeda Ultralite Springs Steeda Rear Swaybar w/ End Links (The description says that the swaybar needs endlinks for a Vert) Steeda Adjustable Front Swaybar Steeda Pro-Action shocks

Hold on GW... there's no definitive answer as to when an adjustable panhard bar is required. I've read lots of variances out from the factory that even guys with the same lowering springs, one will require the adj. bar and the other not.
The requirement for the adj. bar is also more pronounced if you're running wide tires out back. Running the stock 235's, it's hard to see if the rear axle is shifted 1/4" one way or the other. But, running 295's, it's alot more apparent.
Luckily for me, it seems that my axle was off center from the factory. After lowering it, it happened to be dead center.
Thanks for the feedback. I understand that there is no definitive answer to that. But you are the first that I have seen to say that that combination was not needed - at least on your car, and you measured it. What I was going to do is to but the stuff one and see how much out of adjustment I would have before I bought one.
But it is still mistifying why almost all of the suspension packages do not have one.
