Of course it did...this is the Mustang II section.  Because our cars are getting pretty rare these days, we're used to being on our own, eh?

Things have been getting a bit busier lately.  It'll grow

What do you mean "ONE DAY"?  Look in a classified that isn't II-specific...They are already rarer than the earlier classics.  Yes, some can still be had cheap, but some of the models are already climbing in value, even as restorable project cars.

15 years ago, I paid $450 for my 78 V8 T-top.  Put a bit of work into it over the course of 6 months as a daily driver.
I paid $250 for a 78 V6 coupe.  Currently the only one that runs... (ironic, eh?)
My 78 Ghia was a special find.  Needs minor work (plus a rebuilt engine) but has valid potential for future value.
My 77 Cobra, though, I paid over $1,100 for a car that hadn't run in two years, needed bodywork, hatch, inner fenders, no gastank, 4 flat tires, and rat crap sitting in old oil on the intake manifold...If it had more than just a few sections rusted on the shell, it'd be a basket case/parts car.

Maybe they aren't as desired or in demand as the other classics, but they are definitely harder to find parts for or restore.

yup. i paid 200 bucks for my 77 t-top car with a blown up V6 and nasty interior. it has a few placed rusted out like under the battery, at the bottom of the passenger side windshield pillar post (whatever its called, you see it when you open the door and look by the hinge) and around my rear wheel wells have recently started rusting, as well as a small spot under the drivers seat.

my wife wishes i would sell it, she swears if i even get hit by a bus or choke on a chicken bone she'll take the car to the junk yard - i told her i would haunt her forever if she did LOL.

my dad has a 75 mach 1 "delete" package that has all the mach 1 stuff but came from the factory with a 2.3 4 banger / 4 speed stick. you can imagine how many of those are left alive or stock. im thinking probably none. we have parts amassed for a 2.3 rebuild with some head porting, bigger valves and a erson cam (but it will still look stock)

V-6 is for real drivers. Go buy a Jetta if you want gas mileage and a chicks car. Buy a V-8 Mustang if you have no driving ability and need the extra horsepower to compensate and feel like you're fast.

They were timed using a sun dial by Road and Track....unlike the one that I currently own! LOL!

yup they were pigs, but ya know pretty much everything was from the mid-70's to the mid 80's

hell i remember hearing they had to use NOS in the smokey and the bandit II car to get it to do burn outs. (our cars do burn outs without NOS )

Wow...do you really need to learn a little about Mustangs.  The Foxes were 2nd until the New Edge came out in '99.  The current Mustang is currently the quickest, followed by the New Edge, then the Classics ('71 Boss 351 held the crown until '99 as the quickest Stang based on Ford's own data), then the Fox.  The Dueces and the '94-'98 bring up the stinky rear when it comes to stock performance as rated by FoMoCo.

The Deuce is lighter, but it's harder to fit big 'n' stickies under the Deuce than the other years.

something never sat right that a boss 429 wasnt faster than a boss 351. how is that possible (i know the official data says so, but wtf)

anyways, II's are just awsome as hell. they are fun to drive, they handle excellent, and are quickly becoming the rarest of the Mustang breed.

Just started taking my king out to a couple of cruise nights and it gets about the same attention as the older mustangs. I get the same questions from people, what year?, how long were they  made?what engine is in the car?,
never seen one before. One guy even said to my face that these were the crap years, Wanted to kick his butt!!
Most people who bad mouth them come to shows and don't even own a classic car.
