I just installed my automoleskin yesterday. Thanks again for the great writeup. Same instructions that came with the moleskin. Yours just had better color pics.

My Moleskin is a whopping 2 weeks old and I already have adhesive and shredded Moleskin on the inside of my driver window.

Anyone know the Ford OEM Part Number for the channel wipers and/or where I can order them? I'm going back to stock. I don't want to ask the dealer and get flagged for having messed with my doors and therefore lose warranty coverage on a 2-month-old car.

Awesome write-up... but what about those of us with verts? Is the back quarter window equally as easy to apply the moleskin?

From what I hear, yes.

Included instructions should also cover convertibles.

Thanks for the great write up.  I asked for the moderator on the V6 side to sticky this for those of us who own the "little brother" version.

Thanks for the great write up taco bill. I'm getting ready to order than mole skin, as soon as it gets here and install it i'm headed down to the tint shop. I've got to peel off the old tint first though, not dark enough for me. Thanks again.

Went and got my windows tinted last saturday, right after getting home I took out the sliders and put the mole skin on. It all went together perfectly, thanks again for the write up. One problem I ran into and would recommend to others, I would take all of the screws out of the door panel, not just the top two. I only took out the top two and tried taking it off and I felt like I was going to break something. So I took out all of the screws and it came off way easier. Just a tip to others.

sorry to revive this old thread, but can you really get this out without getting the screw from behind the door handle out?

i need to drill mine out because ford had changed my controls in the driverside door handle which didnt work and they put a peeled screw in there that has no star shape at all....seems like they torqued it to an extreme and im mad :-(

Whats realy cool is when i went to my window tint guy he said to me right off the bat ..i dont do mustangs unless i install moleskin....I was like you know what , that is what i wanted to hear, you sir are a professional and that detail right there means im doing the tints with you.
So he charges me 25 $ for both windows for the moleskin install and for a grand total of 200$ for the whole tint job..Where do i sign i was thinking in my  head...
I think i found tint heaven, guys shop is beautiful and clean and his main job is installing body wraps on commercial vehicules...

Cant wait  !!!!

The need for moleskins is over. The 2008 model mustang inner belt mouldings have factory felt linings. Just pull door panels, replace mouldings, done(about $55.00).

2008 Stangs and moleskin:
For you guys who are getting your Stangs tinted and own a 2008, you apparently don't need moleskin. I had my car tinted Friday by a installer that tints vehicles for two major local Ford dealers. They were going to charge me $70 extra to install the moleskin, BUT when I went to pick my car up, they told me that in 2008 Ford felted the window weather stripping, they didn't realize my car was a 2008. FYI

OK, I have a question for all... I was gonna change out my velcro chit to moleskin.  Looking at my channel, I noticed that I dont have ANYTHING on that wiper part...??? Thought there was supposed to be some velcro of some sort.  I do have some velcro for the outside part of the window.  Did my car get left out when they installed the velcro???
