Amen to all of that.  I am bolting on the tri-ys and dual exhaust, but saving the original mainfolds, sandblasting and painting them to hang in the garage.  Bolt on a 4V, new intake and keep all the original stuff.  Clean up the engine compartment and go cruisin.  Nothing major, just make it sound like a V-8 instead of a outboard motor with a cold.
