Default Me Vs. SRT-4

to make a long story short I get a light w/ a silver srt-4 I get next to him he looks over w/ this smirk on this face like I'm in for a surprise...I throw a rev to let him kno I'm game...light turns green he revs it up and gets a good launch...I just roll off the clutch wait till my speed gets up still in first gear then floor it ( did this b/c I've been wheel hopping pretty bad in first and second)..anyway I immedietly pull half a car his nose is at my door shift into second more damn wheel hop[:@] but that not much...and pull another half a car on him...get a really good shift into 3'd and pull on him a little bit more...I was waiting for him to pull on me b/c I've heard that 3'd and 4'th r theres strong points but didnt happen he just hangs there about a car and a half until the end of the race...light ahead turns red we both hit the brakes I look over and smile he nods his head in approval...light go's green I take off 2 c if he wanted to go again but he didnt want another run ....

you deep in the 13's? if you soft-lauched and took him out, you must be making some mean top end.

Nice run. Just be careful, next time you wheel hop you could go down.

iwrxit...yea I run low 13's I really dont have much trouble taking out mach's and such

md. yea it was pretty darn quick for a neon...after we raced further up on the highway he kept on riding the left lane right next to me so I thought that he wanted to go from a role so he drifted back until he was half a car length were both goin about 50 and then I c him hauling ass in my mirrow I downshift into 3'd he blows by me by the time I reach 90mph or so he stops pulling I"m about 2 cars back and I start to creep up on him but he let off the gas and I flew by him ( he didnt hit the brakes so I didnt kno he shut down) ...he did this a few other times he down shifted got the jump but every time I hit 4th I was pulling from about a half a car back but he kept on doin the same thing just let off the gas and didnt hit the brakes...but anyway I got to c how quick they r from a role..

si...yea I plan on fixing my wheel hop problem...I've posted in the suspension section for some advice..this wheel hop is really killing my times when my tires arent heated up...I want traction 24/7 not just when I'm at the track

SRT-4's are the most overrated piles ever. When they came out people thought it was a gift from god, they suck. I have never even come close to losing to a SRT-4, ever. waste of 20k

They are not overrated junk. They trap at 100+, excellent for a 4-banger. I ran one a few times from a roll and couldn't pull on him, and the LS1 is not junk.

well Minnesota musta got a bad shipment, because i don't believe all the drivers I raced were bad either, and I won by a safe margin every time. All I'm saying is the hype was way to much for the finidhed product, like Halo 2
