safer in the snow yea...but Idk about racing when that tq steer come's in...I wouldnt kno for sure tho as I have never drivin a high power fwd car...

Dude trust me fwd is safer in any application. If the front wheels spin on a fwd car, nothing will happen the car just wont move, on a rwd car your back end is gonna come out.

Fwd is a hell of a lot safer thats for sure. Less drive train loss to.

why did you buy RWD then? sounds like you think FWD is better, sell the mach and buy a civic

Where did i say fwd is better? I said its safer and loses less hp through the drivetrain which is all true. Why you getting all pissy?

FWD high performance cars aren't safer, correct me please if I'm not understanding this right...

But torque steer is a real pain in the ass and far more unpredictable than your rear end sliding out on you....

Torque steer is a PITA. While driving a GTP, and accelerating hard out if turns it felt like sh!t.

I totally disagree. If your frnt tires spin your car will keep going strait where as if your back wheels spin your rear will come swinging out. Ask any insurence company, fwd is safer is almost any sense.

True if you are talking about moronic brain donor drivers who are barely in control at 45 mph driving in perfect weather on level straight roads. Give me any rwd car and I can drive it on ice and snow no problem. Of course having driven on snow and ice every winter for 20+ years kinda helps. Yes driving a FWD/AWD car in the snow is less challenging, it takes less brain power that most people cant afford to have taken up by simple driving. Just because some moron doesnt know that more throttle in a rwd car makes the rear come around and less makes it come back doesnt mean you are uncontrollable on ice in a rwd car. Ok sure you can go faster in a non rwd car on ice, yay big freakin deal. Unless its a rally why you want to go fast on ice? Its just more chances to screw up your car like the idiot in the blue WRX who drove thru a house. Some people shouldnt be allowed to drive. Unfortunately most of them live near me!

slower is safer too... one should just learn not to push it too hard and lose control of their rear end (it makes for a messy situation) personally i like things that the insurance companies hate.....

Pretty much but they are both survivable. You want me to explain why they are easier to drive in snow? I know Si would like to hear this...lol.

RollinThunder...tell me about your Bassani optimum length headers....What kind of numbers could i expect if i got them....are they worth the extra $$ over other shorties? how though are they to install (like LT's or more like shorties)? LT's would run me $350 to install from my guy, i know regular shorties would be less...Thanks

I wouldnt kno what #'s u could expect..as I didnt dyno my car until all my mods ..I did a stock dyno run seen in my sig and then a modded one...I would say tho that there deff. worth it over shorties..if I were u tho I'd go w/ the l/t's theres more power to b had w/ l/t headers

FWD, RWD, AWD, blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah All I know is that the SRT-4 is a front drive sport compact that retails for about $21k and runs high 13's right out of the box. There is a local SRT-4 club in my area and they confirm that, along with various reputable magazine articles. They also, like most FI cars, respond very well to cheap and easy mods. I have raced one personally and they are no joke, it was pretty much even between the SRT-4 and my RWD 5.7L LS1 V8. And I'm probably putting down about 300 rwhp. There are more than a few around here that would hand me my ass, dig or roll.

no challenge??? are you kidding me? you try drag racing a vehicle that unloads its drive wheels under power. fwd drag racing is ALL about suspension setup. way more difficult than rwd. take the challenge and try it out.

SRT-4s are fast. with $5000 you can have 400 whp. and even though it is a fwd four banger it is still faster than the junk-ass truck. it is the third quickest mopar car made since 1990. 1st viper, 2nd stealth rt (AWD twin turbo), 3rd NEON SRT-4. and it will hold value because it is limited production

$5000 you can put down 400whp which is sick, but for the same amount of money i can put down a whole bunch more in a mustang. srt4's are nice cheap, fast cars but its a personal choice on if you like them or not. tommy if you get your ass handed to you in dead stops by a neon I think you better better go back to driving school.
