oh and with the wheels, i wouldnt use the clay on them unless you KNOW they have been clear coated. and yea i would say a coat of wax might work, but depending on how hot the wheels get it will just burn the wax right off.

yes, on my rims before I put them on, I polished then used rim sealent on them so that should not only protect them from nastyness, but make them alot easyer to clean.
and $80 is still a good price. buy him lunch or somthing

I agree with you guys on the clay bar. I just did mine yesterday.....clay bar, polish and then wax. It looks sooo much better. Turtle Wax makes a liquid clay bar that I tried out and it worked just as good as the normal bar. Plus you don't have to worry about claying it in the direct sun or getting it on the trim.

Here is a little video I did showing an extreme example on contaminination and how well clay works. The car is a 2006 Chrysler 300 with about 20,350 miles. The paint felt like sandpaper, and sounded like it too. Click Here for the Video.

I got Mother's kit (claybar, detail spray, small bottle of liquid wax) from Walmart at $13 dollars. Stuff works like a charm. When I get a garage then I'll start doing the show room detailing I got a lot of good info from this thread and John2k7 keep that 40th clean. Nice ride Is it a V6? Doesn't matter, I'm just asking cause I don't see a hood scoop. I don't like the scoop anyway they aren't real. Once I get the money up I'll get a new hood
