Seems like I'm always following mdvaldosta, but that's what you get with friendly 'Stang bangers like us!

Haynes is okey-dokey for a lot of stuff, but if you can get hold of a Chilton manual you'll have so much more information. Complete horsepower/torque lists, bolt torques for everything, vacuum and wiring diagrams, better and more explanatory pictures, and it seems to me more knowledge.

The funny thing is, Haynes has bought Chilton, so they're both published by the same folks. The Chilton quality is so much better though, that I suspect Haynes is either still around because it carries the name brand, or maybe because there's about six billion of those suckers on every rack in every Auto Zone and Advance across the country!

As I've said in several posts so far, don't discount your local dealership service department. I know true rodders don't hang out at the dealer, but I used to work at one, so I know how much information you can simply ask for and get from them. Most of the service guys are plain ol' good guys, always interested in a hot rod, so they usually don't mind letting you look at their honkin' big service manuals, or better yet, making copies of desired diagrams!

The parts department computers can also print out blow-up diagrams of most any system on your car.
