i just recieved my cobra from the shop today and man its a beast. i had a ported blower stage 4 from stiege,2.7 upper ,2# lower, boost-a-pump, mafia, idlers, sct tune, 60# injectors, put on. It eats them rpm's like crazy and the speed is just amazingly fast. It was dyno'd at 497 rwhp!. I cant wait to take it to the track to see my 1/4 time.

one of my friends 04 makes 496 with just the 2.76 upper on a stage 4 port, who did your tuning?

i was just curious cuz most guys i know with poerts, uppers and lowers make betwee n 515-525whp, thought your tune could be the difference. you know what your timing is set at?

More importantly, what kind of dyno was it? Let's figure that out before we make the guy nervous that his tune is garbage.

i asked for a safe tune where the engine would not cause any porblems , because i know some guys that tried to get all the power from what they had and **** e d something in the engine. I like the power any way, and if i want more than ill put more in it.

It must be a pretty safe tune cuz with your mods and your port job... I would've thought you would be somewhere around 505-510 rwhp.

well its not like 497 isnt close to 505 or 510. The weather could cause something as small as 10 hp. IMO anyway

yup it could, thats why i was trying to find out a little info on his car, i am in the middle of a stage 3 2.93 upper 4# lower swap and i am shooting for the majic 525 number, so when someone with a similar setup falls well short of that i ask why, thats all.

i went back to the dyno shop and it turned out that the guy forgot to give me the dyno sheet with a 100 octane tune and the numbers were 511rwhp and 506 trq.

I made 475 whp on amustang dyno with a steig stage 4 and 2.76 upper, his numbers are fine.

Those numbers more reflect your mods, although I never get whacked out over dyno numbers.  Too many variables.  Dyno setup.  Dyno operator. Weather conditions.  Dyno type.  Track numbers will always outweight dyno numbers, but we all know that dyno numbers are helpful with comparing mods on similar cars or when testing mods.  Glad you got the right tune now.  506rwtq is awesome, isn't it?  Remember when your car was 100% stock?
