Pulled up next to this nice looking, not overdone, black 2002 Maxima.  He had rims, non-ricy exhaust (more german looking), and revved up a little at the light.  On green we wen't, I had a car length on him at the start, but he blew past after about 40.  We pulled into the bank after hitting about 85.  He opens the hood and I see the chrome colored circular tubing on the right.  You guessed it, a sweet centrifugal supercharger by Pro Charger.  Hes got a Nitrous Express system too but didn't use it.  We talked cars for about an hour, pretty cool for a 45 year old guy.  He even took me for a ride.  No body work done, no rims, very unassuming car with a 5 spd.  He plans on getting a 350Z and supercharging it, what a rocket!  But all in all, big surprise, my dads 2000 maxima is quick, but this thing was amazing.

goes to show that a "ricer" isn't simply any import car, and some performance import guys actually have some class :)

95Stealth302. Wheels and rims are the same thing. Nittos are tires, i think you mean tires.

My dad used to have an '00 GXE automatic.  It held it's own.  It would run 10.2 1/8 miles in the middle of the summer, and that's before I figured out that Nissan's TCS system (that you couldn't turn off) cut engine power to 20% if the brakes were applied, thus making powerbraking pointless.

Damn a 20% loss just by startin with the brakes held?  I am glad I dont have a computer on my car, but it would get better mileage..

no, not a 20% LOSS... a loss DOWN TO 20%.  Which means that I was launching softer loading the convertor than I would have been just taking off.
