Default 2007 V6 5spd manual noisy/clunky

Hi guys/gals,
need some advise here: my newly bought '07 v6 manual transmission makes weird clinking noises, particularly when engaging the clutch on 1st and 2nd gears, feels almost like something is loose at the engine' end of the driveshaft. Another issue - when releasing the clutch in neutral, I heara low grinding noise (non-lubricatedbearing?). When the clutch is engaged (pedal down) the sound disappears.
I had the car for a little over one week nowand haven't noticed it at first. Took it backto the dealer who sold it, they test-drove it and said it is normal :-((.
Does anybody have similar problems here?
My paranoia is growing and I am starting to feel the buyer's remorse.
Thx

My automatic does the exact same thing! Nothing has been done to fix. Some trannys are just very noisy. I am on my third for noise so I just gave up. Does not seem to hurt anything.

I read in the manual that transmission will be noisy when you first use. It will go away later. My car's transmission was noisy about 2 weeks and went away. Read the manual to find out for yourself. Don't worry!

I have an '07 manual and I have the same noises you do. I had them when I picked up my ride and still have them 4000 miles later.

It's my understanding that it is related to the driveshaft itself. It's been well documented that the new v6 driveshafts are crap. You can pick up a good aftermarket DS for around$600. I have some info on a good discount if you are interested. Just PM me here.

you wish you would have gone auto until you are slamming into second and chirpin that ****! manual is noisy, but if you don't want noise don't buy a mustang. I bought my mrt to be loud as ****, it drowns out anything else, so go that way if you don't like the tranny sound!

ya the noise is perfectly normal. take 8cd03gro advice and get an aftermarket axleback!it'll drown out that miniscule noise comingfrom that area. i promise.lol.to the one who wants to go auto, you can't be serious, there's nothing like shifting your own gears. vs. foot down on pedal..... gooooooo!

Who needs to learn how to drive manual???? I chose the manual over the auto because you couldn't check your fluid with a dip stick. Now PA Automatic offers a pan/dipstick combo[:@]. I also wish I would have gone auto just because this is my daily driver, and morning traffic sucks. [:'(]Ask the guy over on the ********** about popping the clutch and banging 2nd all over town.. He's asking around about rebuild kits.
I've driven many 5spd GT's of all years, and the tranny/clutch in these 4.0L cars are the loudest of them.
