Default headache with cd player

Ok, I'm having problems putting a HU in place of the stock non 460 mach stereo unit I had in my '95 mustang gt. If anybody could provide a step by step of how to install the HU in place of the stock unit it would greatly help me get out of this major headache. Somehow my speedometer and odometers have quit working. I get power and everything to the cd player, but no sound from the speakers. I think I've found the amp under the radio area and have plugged in one plug of the bypass but can't find the other.

A step by step or any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.
