Default Should I Use a Capacitor?

I am getting 2 10" subs and an amp put in my car on Thursday. Each of the subs is 150 watts RMS and they are being powered by a 1000 watt amp that pushes 160 watts RMS to each of the two channels. Should I use a capacitor or will I be fine without it?

No.

You read the sticky and don't understand, and you're choosing to be a smartalek to me by saying, "Thanks for your input?"

I think I understand it. You're saying that I don't need to put a capacitor in, it would be a better solution to upgrade the Big 3 if my lights start dimming or the sound is being distorted from the power dropping.

Please correct me if I'm wrong. I'm definitely not trying to be a smartalek, just trying to figure out the best solution if a problem arises.

Gotcha. Just to clarify, I only need to do this if the lights start to dim when the bass hits or if the sound begins to get distorted right? Or should I look into doing it regardless?

I would do it regardless in case you decide to upgrade later.

Any idea on how much it would cost (ballpark figure of course)?
