Hey, has anyone here heard/seen/know anything about this "sub"

I mean it sounds amazing but I can't seem to find too much information on it.

Alpine PLV-7

If not...
I'm just looking for the best sub setup I can get around 500 to 700 dollars... leaning more towrads 500

I own a 05 Mustang with the Shaker 500, but I'm going to be replacing that with the Alpine IDA-X001
Alpine IDA-X001

Let me know what you all think
thanks

You can do a lot better then that setup for the money. Here are a couple options.

1. Ed nine.1 and 2 dual 4 ohm 13Ov2's for $641.75 http://www.edesignaudio.com/edv2/packages.php

2. One BL12 dual 1 ohm $260 https://ssl.perfora.net/www.ficaraudio.com/sess/utn;jsessionid=15461b002aedcba/shopdata/0030_SSD/product_overview.shopscript
and
ED nine.1 $345

Total: $605

3. Two 13kv2's dual 4 ohm coil from www.edesignaudio.com $250
and
http://ikesound.com/product-product_id/4353 $175

Total: $425

Haven't heard one, I definatly do though. It's something for the most part completly new in the industry. There is definatly many systems you can build on your own that will outperform that.

Alright thanks for the input

PReal...
I have not heard of those brands or even seen them on any cars that I have seen. Can you give me some information on them in "english," and like if they are clean and what not. I will admit I do not know too much about audio for cars... that is why I'm asking here.

I just know for a fact that I want clean first. then power. Both would be nice but can this we done with 600 dollars including the cost of an amp???
that is my question now

You can get alot for $600 when you just getting an amp and subwoofer.

Everything PReal, Hisss and myself suggest are clean. Whether its a $80 woofer and a $100 amp. Or if it's a $800 woofer and a $2000 amp. The price range is what determines how loud it'll get while staying clean.

fi audio is made the orignial designers of the resonsnent enginnering subs, they are excellent all around subs. Elemental designs is another solid brand, they will produce lou, clean, acccurate sound.

The reason you have not heard of them is that they do very little marketing and have few retail stores. They do this to keep prices down so that you can recieve a very high quality woofer for a great price. You will not be dissapointed.

If you want to see some video of the different subs you've never heard, check out www.realofexcursion.com If you look under clarion you can even see me blowing up a 6.5 woofer from my pathfinder will a wall outlet.

You missed the M.

Ahh the Parthenon... The world will be changed when they find a cone/surround assembly to handle that much excursion. PReal you know what I speak of correct?

Correction... When they design a cone/surround. They find nothing!

The adire built ubersub that has like 20 inches peak to peak. Its amazing.

I also liked the RE XXX extreme or something like that. It is an actual woofer that has a few inches of real excursion.

It's like 6 I think. and yeah RE has the nearest competitor, their like an inch shy of what the Parthenon is at. Don't quote me there.

PReal. Like I said earlier I'm new to this whole car audio stuff.

So. If I were to get the 130v2's would I need to get 2 of them. Would one sound good enough? would two over do it?

Basically what would you prefer exactly. I want it to fit into my trunk along with a bat bag. I'm guessin that means I'll need a grill of some sort also.

I listen to Rap and Heavy Rock none of that screamo tho. I would prefer the sub hitting every note rather than blowing my brain away and from what you told me earlier... both of these subs will do that.

I watched the videos but I don't know what to look for....

as there any more help/advice you could give me on this. I appreciate it a lot. Because (like I said earlier) these are brands that I've never heard of. but I trust ya. you know your S***

With the setups I already mentioned it states the number of subs that would work well with that amp.

In general adding another woofer adds like 3 db. Also, porting a box of a single woofer should do close to the same thing. I only have one 12 in my pathfinder. If you remove your rear speakers to allow for bass passage, i think you should easily get away with a single 12 with what your trying to accomplish.

You are already replaceing the HU so adding amps will be easy. Really I would do something like this for 5-6 hundred bucks....

Comps http://www.woofersetc.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=product.display&Product_ID=5207 $100

Comp amp http://ikesound.com/product-product_id/4349 $115

Sub http://www.edesignaudio.com/edv2/product_info.php?cPath=21&products_id=31 Dual 4 ohm, $125

Sub amp http://ikesound.com/product-product_id/4352 $115

Wiring and Box built by you $70

Thats $525 for an entire setup that will be lightyears ahead of just adding subs for really really loud bass. If you really want good sound like you said, you have got to go full range hifi!
