get an aftermarket h-pipe or x-pipe with no cats is the easiest, or you could "gut" yours.

That's the illusion removing your cat will do. It will ADD hp, but it will also move the HP up the RPM Range and make it seem as if your TQ has lessened.

Hey Dan, when you say, "make it seem as if your TQ has lessened," do you  mean that it doesn't kill your bottom end? I'm thinking of the Off road X with straight through mufflers, but I'm also getting the 4.10's.

I think I got my o/r h pipe for like 109 from a mail order catalog. Or u could go the ghetto route like my buddy did take yours off and get a metal rod and punch out all the catalytic converter guts. and put it back on. He still got the o/r h-pipe benefits.

It doesn't kill your bottom end at all.

It adds much more HP than it does TQ, yet it still adds quite a bit of TQ...just the difference is so large people think since their top-end is pulling that much harder...that their bottom-end has vanished.

Heh, that's why! A V8 has 2 more cylinder and far more cubes. Can't compare modifications between 2 different motors like that...Smaller motors like that actually depend on backpressure getting them off the line. This doesn't apply to V8's at ALL unless you virtually run open HEADS. When you effect exhaust velocity...that's when you've removed too much backpressure from a V8, and the only way to do such on a V8 would be running open heads like I said above ;)
