Default Worth it..

Well my Uncle wants to sell me a 1986 Red Mustang Lx. With the 4cyl Carb Motor. He wants 1500$ and he is going to get it inspected for me. I was wondering if anyone thought it was a good deal. He's a Mechanic so if anyting goes wrong he would be right there to fix it. And he owns a few Mustangs so He has tons of parts... Anyone know the MPG on it also?

sounds worth it IMO, I'm trying to get around that for my '86, but it is a V-6, all the same parts, just 2 more cylinders... and mine is a t-top...

I read that it only has 88HP. I wish it was the 200hp SVO. I know theres tons of things you can do to raise the hp. Anything thats recommended? He told me if anyting goes up within a year. He will fix it for free. After that he only wants the cost of the part if he has to order it. If he has it it's free.

It is true. It only has 88 HP at the wheels.

Some of the first mods for a stock engine are CAI, header/exhaust, and thats about all you can really do without taking the engine some what apart. One last thing you should do first is put a ranger roller cam in there

Yeah the CAI And Exhaust were already my first on the to do list. I am pricing them now. I just want to beat my friend in his 96 Cavilier all stock. Then I'll be happy for a little while.
