I finally got around to picking up some door trim welt and installing it.  Hope you enjoy the pics, it is a super easy mod and makes the inside look much better.  I was originally affraid it would like too ricey but I think it came out really nice.

I decided to go with the Silver Tinsel color since I have a black car and don't have another accent color other than the silver from the IUP.  Body color matching looks pretty cool too.  They have a minimum order of 15ft but it is still only $19 shipped so it's a pretty darn cheap mod.

Installed on both doors

I also installed it around my shift boot.  I like it significantly better than the billet boot covers you see out there.

I got the idea from Octavio so thank you!! Click Here.

Mr. Mike also put out a new page for ordering that is not listed but here is the link.  Click Here.

That looks nice! I have the same interior and think it breaks up the solid black appearance very well!

Pretty nifty... Wonder how permanent that is though? Would it just fall out after awhile?

That's a very tasteful little mod, very nice.  All about the details.

Did you glue it in, or just pack it into the edges?

Well fella's it easy to do and cost about $12 buck, it won't fall out unless you want it to come out and you can change it very easy.

No glue only scissors and thumbs.

http://forums.bradbarnett.net/showthread.php?t=54424 heres some great info and the 2 companies that sell it.

How well does the shifter boot hold it into place? I don't have the IUP package, so the door welt can't be done, but I am interested in doing the shifter boot on mine.

UVR treated with a special additive for softness.
Excellent for marine and automotive seating.

Note: All materials are sold in continuous lengths. Price is by the running yard, so when purchasing, please remember to type the number of yards you need into the quantity box (from the shopping cart) and click Update Quantities.

I only have a second right now but I'll post up more info later.  Take a peek at the 2 links in my original post.  The first one shows how to install and lets you know that you need about 80inches per door.  The second link is where I got my stuff.  Mr Mike usually does PT Cruiser stuff but this works equally well for us.  He has a minimum order of 15 feet (180inches) but I think he either sent more or you don't need the full 80 for each door.  As you can see, I had more than enough for both doors and the shift boot.  I actually have probably another 2-3 feet left over still too.

The shift boot stays alright, you just have to work it and trim some of the "spine" on the welt into a V notch so it bends better.  I also had to put a very small piece of double sided tape under the top side of the boot where the 2 ends meet and that makes it stay.  I haven't had any problems with the welt moving or coming off in any location.

I like those covers around your door speakers.  Are those made by Ford?
