the ethanol is a pita....in my suburban we got like 16 mpg on the highway...then we filled the car with no ethanol gas from canada and we got 18. The gas in the US is complete piss due to these god damn environmentalists who have no idea about anything.
Say, that gives me an idea! If I ever run out of gas, I'll just whip it out, piss some US gasoline into my tank and off I go! Whoo Hoo! ;D

Hey Jay, NJ ehh. Don't drive very far I think you said. Cold up there I bet. How long do ya warm up the car in the morn? If ya don't drive very far and the car spends alot of time warming up, that will definetly drop ur mpg. Maybe there ain't nothin wrong with your car.
WOW! Unreal! I have aa '05 V6 4.0, manual and get 25-28 mpg AND I do get on her alot. I also am using the recommended 87 fuel and in Delaware they have started that stupid mixing gas crap but hasn't affected my mileage at all. I think something might really be wrong. Seems weird. I have a friend who has the same year and model but is automatic and she gets about 23-25 mpg. Weird dude!
I get 15-16 in the city, and 23-24 on the highway. Sucks though cause I do mostly city driving with the stang and highway driving (for work purposes) with my accord. Course I do have an automatic vert V6, the heaviest and slowest of the models ;) I dont think I would have bought the car if I would have known the gas mileage was that crappy though. I like the car alot, but getting less than 200 miles on a tank in a V6 is utter bs.
One other thing I wanted to mention, you guys with really good mileage probably live in areas without hilly terrain. I do live in the hills and cruised for an hour on basicly flat roads at 27-28mpg and hit 2 miles of hills going home and knocked it down to 23mpg. So easy right pedal makes a hugh difference but start pushing that right foot and down the mpg goes. But all n' all we're not that bad. I know a DR. with a new 2.0 Hyundia that only gets 26mpg highway best.
I just made the 320 mile drive to my parents' house on Friday, and got just over 27 mpg. This was running between 70 - 80 mph on I-75 & I-70 through Ohio and Indiana. Windy as hell the whole way (driving into the wind most of the way). I was impressed with the mileage, and probably could have done better if my right foot wasn't so heavy.

Another thing for you guys is not to go below 1/4 tank if you can help it. It exposes the fuel pump and can cause it to burn out prematurely. Keeping it submerged in gas keeps it cool. Just a little more info to store away.
Semperfi789, I would seriously check your tune. If your running xcal2 tune at 93 octane you might actually be only getting 87-91 gas in the 93 pump (I can't believe a station would do that ! ...LOL) and throwing off your tune. run a tank of 87 with an 87 tune and see if it changes....

my gas mileage is crap now also....as soon as I got my exhaust I went from getting 16 to like 14/13. Do you think the fact that i have less backpressure could effect that or could it be the fact that I just wanna hear the exhaust more so I drive differently.
Our cars are tuned for the stock exhaust and intake airflow to get 19-25 mpg. If you add more air than the ECM can compensate for in the stock fuel trim ranges and reduce backpressure by a great deal you could see drop in MPG. IMO I would get a CAI and tune matched for your mods to get it all back in blanace. The issue of reduced backpressure causing mileage drop has been debated for years but all my exhaust pro friends say it definately effects it...
