You need to go to BullittArchives. Should answer most of your questions.

Hey guys,, I am new with a question you may not have seen before.
To tell ya truth, I havent given the Bullitt Mustang much thought untill tonight.

I have been looking for a new car, its either a Lincoln LS or a Mustang GT. I found the perfect 2001GT with an interior unlike most I have seen.

I ran the VIN numbers and it says that its a Bullitt Mustang.... However, it has NOTHING like what the Bullitts have...
First off its RED, Auto. It does have the side and hood scoops, rear wing, light tan leather with darker accents.
The only thing it has in common with the Bullitt is that its a 2001, and the VIN says its a Bullit....

Can it be a Bullitt Mustang?
How would such a mistake happen?
What letter in the VIN indicates that it is or was suppose to be a Bullitt?

Thanks,

The VIN's show Mustang/Bullitt for all Mustangs which is misleading. The Bullitt is not identifiable by the VIN. There is a sticker under the hood and another under the rear seat (see my avatar). They only came in green, blue andblack.

Go to www.IMBOC.comfor all the info you could ever want about Bullitts.
