Hey, my mustang's tail lights keep coming on, even without turning my lights on. They also stay on after I turn my car off, so I have to disconnect my battery. Anyone got any ideas as to how to fix it?

Brake light switch may be sticking. Check up around the brake pedal for the switch. Remove it and clean it up or buy a new one....That's my best diagnosis at this time...;)

That's the only explanation that makes sense. You can adjust the switch so that it only comes on when you hit the brake pedal. You most likely don't need a new switch, just adjust the one you have.

Thanks, I'll check it. I know I can't possibly need a new one, because it is a new one been in there for about a month now.

If that doesn't solve it, you might want to look into replacing your turn signal switch. I know that sounds insane, but I had one brake light that didn't work and one that stayed on all the time and after much annoyance, discovered that my turn signal switch was the culprit even though my turn signals worked without a problem.

Could it be a short in your tail lamp wiring harness? I remember having a problem similar to this years ago, I replaced the brake switch on the pedal, didn't fix it, tried adjusting it, same thing. I think I put a new harness on the back end and the problem went away, but not sure what fixed it.
Nice stable!

Well...I now have a slightly bigger problem, about a block away from my house some steam started coming out from under my hood, got home popped the hood open and after a bit of lookin around my dad and I discovered my water pump decided to stop functioning.

It could also be the brake padel not coming all the way up. Had a 67' with a 3 speed and the bushing was way gone and wearing into the padel support ass. and not letting the pedel return to the full up position.

Yeah, I went and ordered one from the auto store, gotta go pick it up from the warehouse in the morning because they didn't have it in stock. We allready removed the old one and got everything ready for the new one.
