I want to put a 2001 or a 2003 cobra front bumper on my car then i want to put a 03/04 cobra hood on it! But ive never seen this done before so i dunno if it will look good!! Has anyone seen a 01-03 GT with a 01 or 03 cobra front bumper??? And maybe the hood too!

Yes, if you havent noticed already a cobra is just a souped up mustang and its the same body style except for the bumpers. So yeah it WILL LOOK GOOD, because it will look like a cobra except that ti wont have the same engine, interior, and other high performance parts that are on the cobra. In other words it WILL LOOK AWESOME!

Ive seen where to buy the 01 cobra bumper but i cant find the 03 cobra bumper!!! Ive looked everywhere even on ebay too!!!

do it, do it. the only problem you might run into is other people thinking you have a cobra, then they beat you in a race, then they think they beat a cobra.... it would look awesome though.

Im still keepin the GT badges on it!! I just wanna put a cobra bumper and hood on it!! If they cant tell the difference between a converted(cobra) GT and a REAL Cobra! They have some problems!!:D

they got one on ebay just search for cobra front bumper. its item number 7936216899 it wouldnt let me paste for some reason. anyway im doing the same thing one my 03 gt, 2001 cobra front and rear bumpers and the mach 2 hood got all the parts just got to get back home (im in iraq) and get them put on ill be home in march and cant wait, god luck bro.

I've seen an 03 front bumber on a 99+ GT and didn't really like it that much. With the 03 bumber they leave a good amount of room in there for the intercooler and with out it, it has to much space. Just my 2 cents.

Well i have found all bumpers but i dont know which to go with! They both look good but if i went with the 03 bumper n just got a new intercooler, wouldnt i be fine?? And especially with the hood, i think it would be sweet! And has anyone realized that i have a DSG colored car!! Everyone knows there is no DSG colored cobra!!! Guess I have to wait until I get tired of this paint color!!

Yea i see what ur saying!! But will the front bumper in "align" with the side and rear bumper of the GT?? And steiny said that there is alot of space between the car and the bumper, because of the intercooler. So do any of you guys know where I can find a bigger intercooler that fits the GT???

Well you can't really get a bigger intercooler because your GT doesn't have one unless you put one on. The 03 cobras are a supercharged DOHC 4.6 and they have an intercooler. The bumber does go ok with everything else except I just don't like all the space that is there behind the bumber. Thats just my honest opinion.

*EDIT - If you are worried about the space, you could get on older style cobra front bumber becaue they weren't supercharged.

I'm not sure how much space is there but in my opinion it is noticeable. It was the first thing I noticed after I realized it was a cobra bumber. It just look like it was missing something because of the gap. Who knows, you might like it but I'm not a huge fan.

I just didnt want the 01 buper because t looks too thin', If that makes any sense to you! But im going to wait and see if someone has a 01-03 GT and has a 03' cobra bumper on!!! I REALLY WANNA SEE IT!!!

That would probably be the best thing to do. See it first and see if you like it. I know I didn't but thats just my opinion. Good luck with it.

Yeah, I would do lowering springs before you go crazy w/ body mods... Do a chin spoiler + lowering springs and you won't want a new bumper cover.
