Default engine light

I just threw an engine light, I put headers on an offroad h-pipe on it a couple weeks ago but have been driving the car for about 400 km's now and the engine light came on now. I got the tuner from Brent and told him about the offroad h-pipe and I'm sure he tuned it for that. The code it threw was P0152, something about a high voltage to the O2 sensors. I cleared the code drove it for 15km's, everything was fine, but when I started the car yesterday the engine light came back on. Never checked what it was yet, but I assume its the same thing. What is causing this. When I got the headers put on, the had to make there own O2 extensions, maybe they screwed something up when they did this?

i think you need to turn your O2 sensors off with a tuner or something like that

You can't turn off the O2 sensors with the SCT tuner.

You will have to get a tune then.

That code is for the drivers side front o2 sensors not the rears. Yes, the rears will need to be turned off in the tune as well some other tweaks to the tune for the addition of longtubes.A good tuner will know what to do in the new tune.

So that code is for the front O2 sensor. Guess the shop I got it done at must have screwed up when they made there extensions. I told Brent from Brenspeed about the long tubes and removing the cats when I ordered the tune from him, so I am pretty sure he woulda already added that to the tune. Like I said before, I drove the car for at least 400km's before the engine light came on, wouldn't the light come on before then if the rear O2 sensors were not turned off? The only code it threw is that P0152, so I guess when I pick the tires up from the shop, I will get them to throw it up on the hoist and see what the deal is, then I can also check where the passenger side header is rubbing against as well.

The front oxygen sensor located on the driver's side is intermittently shorting to a voltage source. This code can ONLY be set if O2S12 voltage reaches 1.5v or higher. The PCM is only capable of seeing 1.6v from this sensor. The reason the PCM is only capable of seeing 1.6v is due to resolution. Obviously the signal will be more accurate and progressive if we only look for voltage the sensor is capable of producing. An oxygen sensor can only produce up to one volt (a little more than one volt if contaminated with liquid fuel). In other words it is pointless for that input to have a 0-5 volt range if it will only operate in a 0-1v range. But the point is that if the sensor shorts to 5, 10, 12 or 120 volts - the PID will only read 1.6v. Sooooo - your sensor is shorted to voltage. Hope this helps!

Check the harness for that sensor to see if its rubbing anywhere.

Now that you mentioned the shop made o2 extensions for the front sensors, that extensioncould be your culprit. Don't worry about the rear o2 sensors, i'm sure brent turned them off in your tune anyways
