Sohc...no lol. I may start another thread for the CarPc, but next weekend I am redoing the software for ease of use and to set up my wireless internet so I will do a bunch of pictures during that time.

The car goes in for paint on June 2nd. Trust me it can't come soon enough!

No, REALLY, after 85 different angles on the bumper, the only one you didn't post was from the inside looking out!!

That looks like you have a lot more ground clearance than I thought.

Maybe I will get one of those next year...

If i could I would have lol. One of the members wanted to see some pics of how it looked. It will get pulled down a little bit when it gets painted, but overall there is plenty of clearance. As I have mentioned before it is basically the same clearance as stock, it just looks lower.

Wow, that bumper is sweet.  Can't wait to see it painted!  The angle of the sun kinda killed it though, bad reflection on the hood.  You need a nice bright, but semi-cloudy day around noon and snap some more for us. Thanks for the pictures.  I'm debating between the Shelby CS6 bumper and the C-Series from Cervinis.  I know you, mdlesk, obviously are going for the CS6 look, but what do you guys think of the Cervinis front end?

My original plan was actually to go with the Cervini's C-Series when it came out. I loved the side-exit exhaust. The more I looked at it I moved towards the CS6. Especially for the price!  Just the front on the cervini's is the same cost as all of the parts I have on, including the hood, front, side scoops, etc. I then watch Street Tuner Challenge when Season 2 Debuted and that actually installed the C-Series and I didn't like it so I went the CS6 route. Plus to me more people have the Cervini's than the Shelby. The other day I saw 2 C-Series here in Columubus. I have yet to see a CS6.

Okay well this past weekend I finally took some pics of the side scoops. These will be the last pics taken before it's painted. It goes in for paint Saturday and I can't wait for the car to be 1 color again. I also made a few changes to the CarPc. I can now watch local television and play the Ipod through the computer as well as Picture-in-Picture on the CarPC. This works either through the tv feature or the inputs (such as a Xbox, DVD, VCR, etc.) I had to mold it into the dash and I didn't have time to do any bondo yet so right now it's pretty ugly. It's not quite a uniform fit. I am going to try to do it before it goes into the shop, but if not then I will just do it when it gets out. I could also just use a carbon fiber overlay to cover the gap. I haven't decided yet since I have the grey interior. The CarPc is now finished until NFL Season starts and I add Sirius Satellite Radio. The only other reason I will alter it is if something breaks. Here's the pics of the scoops:

I'm glad I could help. My car goes in for paint on Saturday and they are going to start it Monday so hopefully it will be done by the end of the week. I'll be able to get some pictures up. Make sure you keep in mind that the lower grill will be on backorder for some time. It shouldn't bother you though, it's really not a big deal at all. Jason is a great guy to deal with and if you ever have any questions about any of the Shelby products he is the guy to go to. Are you getting the grill and/or hood too or just the front fascia?

I have an original 1969 mustang 351 hood scoop on my hood and I realy like the look, so I'm just going with the front facia, I'm also keeping the pony grill.

Hey Guys!!!

I want to thank Art for pointing me to this forum.  Mike, my friend...wait till you need something again...you have a nice discount waiting for you---I appreciate the compliements!  I do work very hard to keep my customers happy or in the Shelby situation, informed as best possible.  Owning No.2 of the Prototype Shelby CS8's, I have personally experiance all the goods and bads of this awesome opportunity to "build your own Shelby".  I wanted to tell you guys that if you do a Stage I, your elligible for the "Shelby Authorized Independant Enthusiast Registry" which yes Bill (Paleoc) will happen.  There seemingly has been changes every week and now that the plan is established, the registry process will start shortly.  Rules and regulations to follow next week!

If you guys have any questions, or need clarification (no registry questions just yet...please wait till next week) please let me know.  My email is the most effective way to get a hold of me but if you just cant wait, give me a call.  Enjoy your weekend guys!

Thanks Jason! I'll be ordering the Grill and Fogs soon as the car gets painted starting on Monday. After those I'll get the decals, which I understand is a process. I do have one problem though. When my dad brought the parts to his house I believe he may have misplaced the reciept and I'm sure I will need this to get the decals as well as getting into the registry in the future. Is there anyway I can get a copy? When I get the decals I may also pick up the Shelby Quarter Window Block-Off Plates. Do you know of anything I can put on the inside of the window to cover it so that you don't just see a plate through the window? I know CDC sells them, but I would want either black or dove grey. Let me know and thanks again. If I had the time I would come CA and thank you in person but things are kind of crazy right now. Maybe if I get a chance sometime in the near future I'll make a trip out and check out your CS8 too.

I stopped by the shop this morning to check on the progress. They got the hood grinded down and sanded as well as the Front fascia prepped and sanded. They also had the front off. They had to take the front windshield out but it broke when they were removing it, which they said would pretty much happen. He said that he is going to try to get everything done by Friday. I'll have to buy a new winshield, which I believe they ordered this morning. The total was about $2,500, but since I paid all cash and the owner is real good friends with my dad (the both farm and live near each other. Anytime one of them needs help, the other one's always there) the total is $1,800.

Just an update:

The car is still in the shop for paint. They primered it twice but keep finding pinholes so they have to sand and reprimer until they get it perfect.  No matter what it is still the same price for me. I asked him about doing a Targa Top and he said yes they do them, so that may definitely be in the works in the near future, possible at the same time the decals are put on. They are going to try to have it done by the end by this weekend. They had to take off. sand, and paint the drivers side door as well so that the paint would blend.  They got all of the hard work done so far. They basically just need to primer and paint as long as they don't find any other flaws.

Because of the 7 or so dents in the hood and the main one is where the windshield and roof panel meet so in order to repair the panel the windshield had to be removed and I knew ahead of time that it was going to break and I gave them the okay to take it out. They weren't liable for it breaking but if they break the new one then they will have to pay for it. They also didn't charge to take it out or put the new one in, which they could have as well.

Sorry guys I have been busy all weekend and this is the first time I have been on since I got the car back, which was first thing Friday morning and it looks AMAZING!!!! I took some pics of it with my brothers Viper. I haven't had a chance to look at them yet so I'm not sure how they turned out. I'll try to get some pics up tonight.
