The supercharger is also incompatible as running it with a temperature of less than 25 degrees voids the warranty.

Hi Paleoc,

This is news.

Does it apply to ALL brands?

ie. Running a blown Mustang may result in a blown Mustang?

Never had problems with turbo cars in the winter.

I'm assuming that this warning is based on mechanical concerns...

Yeah, me either. But I'm not taking that chance. When I get the major performance parts and new wheels it will not be a winter car at all.

This is from the Paxton Street Systems Supercharger Owner's Manual:

quote:

IMPORTANT COLD WEATHER INFORMATION:
In order to achieve the low noise level of Paxton superchargers, Paxton specifies precise manufacturing procedures that call for minimal internal clearances.  These precise tolerances, however are not conducive to temperatures below 25 degrees F.  Therefore, storing the vehicle in a heated garage and/or employing the use of an engine block heater/aftermarket engine blanket is required when the vehicle is subjected to a "cold start-up" in ambient temperatures below 25 degrees F.  Failure to comply with this may result in immediate supercharger failure and invalidate the supercharger warranty.

Since Paxton and Vortech are both owned by Vortech and virtually the same, I suspect the same text is found in the Vortech manual.  I don't know about other superchargers.

I know. Those pics are from my camera phone so the quality is terrible as you everyone can see. My next upgrade should be a camera.

Okay, I finally got another camera. It's not the best but a lot better than the phone. Here's a pic I took down in Memphis this weekend:

Thanks, I am working on a new webpage as a build log for the car, not the carpc. I am hoping to send the car in next week to be painted. I can't for it to be all one color again!!! I took it to the Pump Gas Drags this weekend and everyone told me that they liked the grey hood, but it has got to go and the hood pin cables need either shortened or relocated as they are way too long. My updated website will be:

Mike,

Is it just my eyes, or does your hood need alignment?

Might just be the fact that there is no shadow on the unpainted hood.

When are the sidestripes going away?

SOHC

PS: Can't wait for the final paint job!

The hood is actually aligned, but remember when the steel light pole fell on my car, well it dented the driver's side fender in and that's why it's not aligned correctly. It's going in for the body work next week so that's when the stripes will be removed and the bottom rocker panels painted blue.

Can we get a nice clean shot of the front end from dead center?  Please?  I love that CS6 bumper and am interested in getting one.  Would like to see it before you get it painted.  If you can...
