I bought some 232 side and trunk badges not too long ago and they have started to look really dull and faded already. They may just be dirty I don't know. What is safe to use to clean and shine them up?

Thats usually a result of certain chemicals being exposed to the emblems.  I can't tell you exactly what to use because I don't know the chemicals or items that may have been used on them, etc.  Try some aluminum polish and back to black
