Default Whipple V.S. Kenne Bell

Ok this is a question for everyone out there that reads this. For a 2003 Cobra, what is the better aftermarket supercharger to go with. One from Whipple or Kenne Bell... They both seem to say that theirs is the best but if anyone out there has had either or maybe both what was the better of the two. If i spend that kind of money i want to make sure its for the best one available.

I guess I'm biased on this, but I'm gonna go with the Whipple over KB, especially since KB went to the 2.6 and 2.8. Alot of guys have said that unless your running over 20lbs of boost, you kinda wasting your money on the KB's. Not that the KB's aren't as good, but if you run them both at for example 17lbs, they will both be very similiar in numbers. Why not get the Whipple since its cheaper and just as good. Go KB if you want monster boost. Of course, now since Whipple has the 3.4L out for sale, you can go big boost on it now too.

Whipple is cheaper, KB will make slightly higher numbers, cant go wrong either way. Im happy with my whipple, no problems at all. You hear alot of KB's boost actuator breaking, leaking oil and what not.

If you going to spend 5k on a procharger might as well just go turbo.

Procharger is the most efficient though, and performs the best. IMO

Either way your going to put out good numbers... and italia10588ur freggin crazzy there is no way that a procharger, or a paxton or a vortech will ever come close to a twin screw style supercharger. The procharger is like 50hp down from a KB at 17 psi. at least on 03-04 cobras. Their just not as efficient. My buddy with an 04 has a procharger and only put down 670hp at 24 lbs of boost. Also the torque curve is way way horrible the boost doesn't come alive till like 5k rpm. And last the kit is a few g more... Thats it...

hmm.. maybe its different on the sn-95 cobras. Theres a guy on here with a procharged cobra, I think I remember seeing him having pretty sick numbers, but hes got a sn-95 like mine.

I've read that the twin screw design has its own set of issues in comparasion to the centrifugal design also.

Maybe this isnt the case?

all in all I prefer turbos anyway.
