Default 2001 Grand Prix GT

Hey guys I got a problem with my transmission in my car. It is a 2001 GT prix and the problem is sometimes shifting from 1-2, 2-3 is really bad. It almost feels like the transmission is going but its not because as soon as you give gas it goes and doesn't rev up like a broken tranny would.

I scanned for codes and got P1811(maximum adapt and long shift) so I cleared the code but it is still doing it.

If I shut off the car and turn it back on again it will be fine. I also disconnected the battery and it works for a while but then sometimes it does it and I have to pull over to shut it off and turn it back on.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated as I want to get this fixed.

Thanks

You could always have a place like AAmco, or other large transmission chain check it for free, & then get it fixed somewhere else thats cheaper
