My first car was a hand me down from my older siblings, a 1993 Mercury Tracer with a big 1.9 liter CVH 4 banger. For those of you who dont know CVH is actually a HEMI engine. Oh yea it pumps out the horses. Definitely a car that has been beat to s***.

My older brother ran it into the curb and bent the rim, also rearended someone just hard enough to crack the bumper and leave a hole about the size of a fist, backed into someone hard enough to leave 1/4 inch deep gash, dented the roof somehow?!? and blew out the speakers.

Then my sister drove it and pretty much did some of the dumbest things to the interior I have ever seen. Stickers on the dash, 100 things hanging from the mirror and about 20 stuffed animals placed about the car. (on the dash, in the back window...)

I was lucky enough to drive it for almost a year. I did put in a new deck with cd/Mp3 player and new speakers all around. Also two JLAudio 12" subs with a 450 watt mono channel amp. My buddy works for a sound system installation company and hooked me up for about half price. Well probably the only good thing on the car besides the sound system was, that it was great on gas, most of the time I forgot when the last time was that I filled up. And probably most important it was great to find out where all the cops are in town. Not that this car could actually go fast enough to exceed the speed limit.

I will probably keep it to drive in the winter to save the LX from the salt that Racine puts down every winter.

Hey, you're not spoiled; I wanted the same thing only for my second car after I was 18, and that was over 6 months ago. ;) But I talked it over and matched funds with my dad to get an 07 V6 (And I love that car to death, so don't say I don't appreciate it! ;) )

But it was easier because I showed my dad that I could handle that kind of car since I had been driving a '00 V6 GOLD! convertible for over two years while he was in Iraq. Maybe if you show your parents that you can drive that truck by not getting into any accidents and especially not getting any tickets (Maybe parking ones hehe), he'll reconsider your dream car. :) If he can afford it and you bring it up in a sensible manner, he should listen. Not all parents are as thick-skulled as we think. ;)

some kids are just idiots.  if your parents buy you an expensive, fast, nice ass car then chances are you arent gonna give a **** about it cuz you dont know the value of a dollar.  im 17 and i worked my ass off 2 jobs for a summer just so i could buy my car and havnt got a scratch on it,

thats right if you want something don't just ask daddy for it go get a job and save all your money and go buy the car that you want, trust me that will make you value and appriciate the car, i'm 19 and now i own 2 cars and now i'm looking into buying another car

i just turned 17 and im on my 4th car, i originally bought a 1950 plymouth, fixed it, sold it, made money. then i bought a '80 camaro shell that i was gonna keep, long story short i got it running, modded it slightly, then sold it. bought a turbo eclipse, sold that, bought a different one that was heavily modded and AWD, then the guy i bought it from didn't mention to tell me the piston rings were fried, sold it, made about $3k fixing all these cars and selling them. then i got an AMAZING deal on my mustang and i absolutely love it. i've never gotten a ticket or in an accident, but i do admitt to doing some stupid things in it :\

but working on cars and having to pay for everything sure makes you appreciate them more!

Haha if i asked my parents for a 2007 mustang or any new car they would just laugh at me. I had to drive the family civic hatchback until i saved up enough for my mustang

I got my first car at 16, my dad bought it for me, I was working full time at the time. We picked it up from his insurance agent. It was the perfect starter car, 1964 1/2 mustang with a 260 V8 auto. Drove that car everywhere until I had brain freeze and traded it in on a toyota truck of all things. I got hit and rolled that truck 3 weeks later (god was telling me I should have kept the classic). It took me almost 30 yrs. to get another mustang.
So Ashley drive the truck for now, you may even like it, your time in a mustang will come. Oh and don't be so defensive about being spoiled, you still have more to learn then you can imagine.
I use to be young enough to now it all too.

Stop whining and appreciate what you're getting because they could've very well said no and made you buy your own car.  I worked my ass of also to get my first car (which is an 88 Chevy Silverado by the way and I've never had a problem with it like my other friends with "other" trucks ;) for $5000.  I wanted a 69 fastback for my mustang but got a 72 and I'm still way happy to have it. I fought and fought to get a 69 i found for 4k running but they wouldn't have it.  I waited and now i have my mustang and a beautiful truck that i baby like crazy.  I appreciate it more because i know i bought it with my own hard work.

I've seen friends who got brand new cars who give a crap about them because they don't realize what it takes toget what they have in the real world.  You may think "it'll a mustang, what I've always wanted" well i knew a guy who got a 05 Corvette that he always wanted and whenit came to taking care of it, he didn't fare so well.

Well, I am 15, and will turn 16 in a year.  I already have me a car, because we got a GREAT DEAL on it.  I love it.

It's an '04 Mustang GT - Fire Red (Sorry, I need a better picture, I'll get a better one soon.)

Our deal on this car was great.  It has about 22,000 miles on it.  We got it for $17,500.  We got it, because we knew we wouldn't be able to find one with only that many miles on it.

I already have it planned out for when I'm 16.  I am going to get duel flowmasters on it, because it's just not loud enough right now.

And I want these rims on it.  How do you think these would look on it?

Anthracite is just a fancy word for coal lol  Is it a V6?  Hopefully not.  I really like those wheels, I was gonna get them for mine but so many people around here have themon the classics and i HATE that.  At least theyre not import looking ones.  Muscle deserves so much better.
